Default Cheapest way to gain 20-30 rwhp

I have a stock '99 coupe M6. The only thing is has on it is Corsa exhaust. I'm looking at running in a certain class which has hp limits. I need another 20-30 rwhp to reach that top hp limit.

What's the least expensive way to get this without compromising reliability?

A tune will get you another 15-20. Maybe headers ~500 or less. Vararam intake 250~..But honestly 20-30hp isn't much maybe work on driving skills for time improvement? ( I mean that in a nice way)

2001 + Intake Manifold.. Doesn't matter if it is a ls6 or ls1.. All 2001's and up
got the better intake manifold..
It's worth about 15 hp.. This and a tune would get you there..
And not affect any thing else

Just make sure the tuner doesn't lean it out too much to get you there. Not sure if different gears are allowed, but if it were me and they were, I would leave the motor alone and drop the differential gear ratio, install a Honker CAI and call it a day.

The short list would be to get a good CAI package - Calloway, Icebox, etc., a good tune for your venue, whether it is time trials, autocross, or drags, and if you have money left over buy a FAST Intake. The CAI will give you an honest 7-9 HP, the tune will pick up about 12 HP and the FAST intake will give you another 8-10 HP. It is best to do the tune while on the dyno for best results. In the event you make to much HP, the tuner can just lower the fuel cut-off to make the HP requirement.

If you are running NASA events, leave about 3-4 HP on the table because of differences in variables when making the dyno run. For cold air packages if you are running high speed tracks, stretches over 130-135 mph do not get the Vera-Ram because the front air duct openings are in a low pressure area and you will receive a restrictive air flow. In my area their is only one of 4 nearby tracks that allow a stock engine to exceed that speed, and I top out at 142 before the breaking point. So the Vere-Ram is not an issue (only about 80 ft before the breaking point).

GM ran thousands of engine tests with the 01+ intake and could only make 5 more HP, but they were able, with other changes, to make 25lbs more torque. HTH

160 degree thermostate and vararam, and throttle body coolent bypass,
or real EL Cheepo, zip tie mod to air box instead of vararam
But your post says RWHP so ls6 intake or cam only
