Default AP Racing Radi-CAL Kit

Afternoon!

I was wondering (hoping i dont start any war) if anyone had recommendations for vendors to purchase an AP Racing Radi-CAL kit for the front axle on a 2007 c6 z06 with existing stock setup...

This will need to fit stock wheels c6z... (355mm i believe)

thanks in advance!

It's not a dumb question at all Drew. We (essex) design and build the kits, and sell them to both retail customers and wholesale customers. Some people call around and try to get a deal on a kit, but they're typically wasting their time doing so. We don't offer discounts to retail customers, and our resellers typically don't either. Our kits are already a great value at the retail price, with loads of features/benefits that nobody else offers at any price. Some retail customers have a trusted shop that usually services their car. In those cases, it makes a lot of sense to purchase our kit through a reseller, particularly if they're going to install the kit.

If you shoot me a PM, or call us (704) 824- six zero three zero, I can give you some guidance on what kit would be the best fit for your needs. FYI, we do have 372mm front kits that will clear 18" wheels (in addition to our 355mm kits), so you do have options. Then I can send you to one of our authorized shops in your area if you'd like to go that route.

Thanks for considering our products!

Default AP/Essex

I have been running AP/Essex BBK both front and back for three years now on my C6Z dedicated track car. A great product! I ran 355mm on the front for 2 years and then moved up to 372mm this year. I am very happy with the AP/Essex BB product.

Most of the time I run Pirelli slicks on 18 inch C14 CCW wheels, which clear the CP9660 front calipers fine, (with 372x34 rotors) but my rain tires are on 18 inch OEM wheels and they are very tight in terms of clearance between the outside of the caliper and the inside of the wheel.

If you go with AP/Essex with 372 rotors, and run 18 inch OEM wheels on the front, then work with Essex to choose the right caliper which will clear your OEM wheels.

The 355 mm front kit is a good option and it easily clears OEM wheels....

If you purchase the kit, make sure you buy the best brake pad for your combo. We sell essex kits and run them on every C6 and C7 that we build. Having said that, the Ferodo pad offered has a narrow application window with corvettes and we have found other compounds suit these cars better. your mileage may vary, and best to do your homework.

yes, we have customers that have run them in the past from porterfield. The front pad shape for the radi-cal is PFC 7790 (for shape purposes only) and the rear Radical is 7768 (again, pfc part number for pad shape. )

We run them in 25mm thickness in the front and 16mm in the rear.
