Driving Gloves
Just curious if anyone wears driving gloves?
I wear some occasionally when I do some “spirited” driveing. Provides a nice grip on the wheel and 7 speed shifter. Also keeps the leather from oils built up on your hands.

I always wear driving gloves. They keep the leather on my steering wheels clean and free from skin oils and my sweaty hands. Never without them.

I wear them on extended drives - not usually for short hops around town.

Always wear them to protect my steering wheel, also the little footies on my shoes just like the cable guy puts on before entering my house to protect the floor mats, and a nice soft blanket to protect the seats. The entire exterior is also covered with the same sunscreen my wife uses in the summer months. It's no garage queen,I put 30 miles on it this last September. ??????????

Only on the track.
Do you wear Jorts, a Hawaiian shirt and knee-length black socks with running shoes with the gloves?
It’s no wonder many people think Vette owners have serious OCD. In many cases they’re right.

So wearing a pair of gloves OCCASIONALLY qualifies as OCD??? Thank you for the nice, non offensive, helpful reply.

In cold weather I'll sometimes wear ordinary gloves, but I think that "driving gloves" had their heyday when cars came with wooden rimmed steering wheels and no power steering.
That said, if you find them useful, great.

I keep my old pair of leather driving gloves in my car just for old times' sake. Used them in 1971 when I drove my 1970 LT-1 around the Nurburgring. Have not used them since I sold the car (to a German).

Driving gloves?!?!?!?!? What a panzy idea. You guys realize you bought the common man's blue collar sports car right? Not some pretentious bentley. Geez.
Also love that most vette owners get GT seats because comp seats are too restrictive, yet want to get "driving gloves" to have a firm handle on the steering wheel.
