The front cam vid helped a bunch. I will be doing this Monday(along with a head unit, mic, and rear cam) and haven't taken a look at wiring it in yet. This gave me an idea what to look for .
Thanks!
Thanks!

you're not going to get crap for a signal with the GPS antenna upside down, it needs to be mounted upright, not upside down or on it's side.

Just tested the GPS even with the receiver just stuffed into the hole beside my center speaker and it seems to be working fine. I'm going to keep it there for now until I start experiencing any signal issues.

Drifting
Edit: you can also usually disable the camera guide lines by cutting a wire loop.

Yes, what doomi said. I disabled both lines because I don't feel like they help. They just confuse me even more. I made the mistake of cutting both wire loops on my camera so now I have a regular display on my rear camera instead of an inverted one though. Now I have to strip the wires and solder them back together again.

I don't think they're always interchangeable. Some front cameras won't have the ability to invert the image. My rear camera comes inverted and can be set back to normal, so that one is interchangeable.

Another tip. Although I got all the channels that I normally listen to, but I was getting static on a few of them. I bought an antenna booster (attached) and it cleared up the static.

Where did you specifically tap into for Power (Red Wire) and where did you ground it (Black Wire)?
Also, how is it performing so far? Good picture quality? Withstanding the elements ok?
Thanks!

Great info. Thanks for sharing. I ordered the same Front Camera that you recommended above and now I need to install it.

As for the black ground wire, I connected it to a bolt that is right by the drivers side hood strut. See time 2:11 on my youtube video. You'll see that there is a wire with a blue fitting right underneath the nut. That's my ground wire.
As for the camera, it is holding up so far. I never drive my car in the rain, so I don't know how it'll impact the camera. I have washed the car before though and no issues after the wash. Picture quality is fair. Not the greatest, but it isn't bad.

On the camera there is a red plug that you can plug to another wire that contains a red and a black wire. Connect that red wire with the red wire on the yellow RCA cable. At the opposite end of the RCA wire, there is another red wire. I connected that red wire to the red wire from the PAC RP5-GM11.

Gary Bates. I installed a similar Kenwood stereo from Crutchfield in my base model 2011. I assume that the mic right next to where’s your mounting yours is for the OnStar service. I have no idea why the wiring harness couldn’t include that mic, but Crutchfield said it can’t.
I was wondering if you thought about splicing into it, or if it’s even possible. I’m thinking about giving it a shot, at least for appearance, but the outgoing audio quality is poor. Crutchfield upgraded the mic but strongly recommmend I move it closer
