Default Raising the C7Z on one side.

It seems as though with a jacking puck in the slot at the rear of the car it pretty much picks the car up far enough to get both front and rear wheels off

is It ok to do this Or should I use a second floor jack at the front slot with a jacking puck? To equal the weight distribution

Dont want ant to twist anything up or crack the windshield.

I want to get the tires just far enough off the ground to slide them off and install power stop z26 ceramic brake pads and clean the inside of the barrels.

I do it all the time. I usually jack it up enough to get a stand under the front jacking location. I also have jacked the car up by the center of the frame right where you see the cross-brace. That way you can get stands under both jack locations.

I do it all the time although I use the front jacking location. You can get three wheels off the ground jacking in the front. I think you can in the rear though I haven't tried it. Pretty much have been jacking Corvettes like that for over 3 decades with no issues.

Gonna cut out of work early and do this tomorrow. Near 70 degrees in St. Louis.

I've always done that on my C4, C5z, C6z and my C7z. I use a hockey puck by the cross brace which allows jack stands at the jacking points.

Can you guys post a pic where you're jacking 'from the center of the frame by the cross brace'? From the way it sounds this isn't one of the typical jacking points. (Not saying that in a critical way, just curious what spot you're using). Unless you're talking about macgyvering a long jack under the front of the car to actually catch the center of the front cradle.
