Default Mysterious colors revealed

So, did Chevrolet finally reveal those 2 mysterious colors for the 2019 Corvette? I know we were expecting a possible reveal at the Detroit Show.

Probably waiting to reveal them at "the bash" at the end of April. They will have to do something to spice it up.

I posted a thread about this the other day with zero response, so nobody seems to have any insight here. I find it odd that the 2019s are now available to order, and will be in production in a week's time, but yet not a single picture has been released of either of these two colors. They aren't on constraint, but why on earth would anyone order a color that they have no clue what it looks like? If they wait until April to finally show the color for the first time, that's too late, production on the 2019 will already be two months in.

As far as I know you can't actually order them right now, nor do they have much real proof yet of actually existing beyond that initial 'leak'.

if you go on Chevrolet's web sight and try to build a 2019 Corvette, you can't. it still shows 2018. very frustrating

could be nobody cares....seems GM has run out of good colors......so many failed attempts....they really should look at other manufacturer's offerings...check out the Jaguar colors.

Jaguar colors? Are you serious? I owned an F-Type, and the color choices are no more varied than the C7s, actually they are less so now. They do offer more shades of silver/grey/black . . . just what we need more silver, grey and black.

Rhythm and Blue Metallic and Dark Shadow Metallic is what we've been told so far (although that might be the name given by the paint company and not the final name that GM chooses)

I'm guessing these are just new names for old colors. Like Machine Silver in 20015 turned into Blade Silver in 2016. I have a Machine Silver Camaro parked beside my Blade Silver C7, and my old eyes can't tell a bit of difference.

Too late for what? The early-adopters who had to be first in line for a 2019? Heck, 2018 Production was nearly complete before Sebring Orange was available.

As the C7 winds down in it's final years we will see all kinds of strange events from GM to stimulate sales.

Special models and packages along with colours.

Look what they have done with the early change in model years.

They say the 2019 will run for 14 months, so the 20's will be out in march of 19.

These 2 new colours have not been released yet. Other colour changes have happened mid year.

They probably did this to stimulate discussion on this forum.

The people in the know must get a good chuckle from some of these posts.

This is the only C7 color that interested me . . . and as it was a one-year-only color, and the Premiere Edition was a one-year-only car, I spent quite a while looking for just the right one when my C6 got to be ten years old. Finally found it, and couldn't be happier.... unless, of course, it becomes available again on the C8.

Then we'll talk.

Maybe they are actually Cadillac colors for the new ME car.

Default What Are “White Diamond Colors”?

I was reading an article online about the newly upgraded Corvette paint shop in Bowling Green and came across this relevant nugget that may interest you. The article I was reading mentioned some comments made by Chuck Valentini, the Body Systems Manager at the Corvette Assembly Plant in Bowling Green. He said “The new (paint) shop will have additional spray capabilities, spray booths and automation that will allow us to do some colors that we can’t do today while also raising the quality level up. We have ten colors today but we’ll have twelve when we move over here. We will be able to do some ‘tri coats’ where you use a ground and a mid-coat application that produces your white diamond colors, giving a more fluorescent depth to the finish. Because of the additional automation we’ll be able to offer the additional colors that our customers want that we are not able to give them today.” The question I Have is what are “white diamond colors”? Anyone know?

Seeing this color in brochures does not do it justice. In person...WOW!
Saw it at a car show.

I found this sample of White Diamond Tri-Color paint. This might be the paint that becomes available for your new 2019 Corvette.

I had a 2008 Machine Silver Z06 and a 2010 Blade Silver Grand Sport and the Blade was much brighter to me
