Default c1 brake lines dual master

I converted to a dual master cylinder the day I bought my 61 , a good move yesterday i had the front brake line let go just under the generator,
Not a good spot! The dual M/C allowed brakes enough to get back in garage safe ! Last year we removed and reinstalled the motor and the area were line let go is just next to the mount, I may have damaged the line ,
A good thought for anyone changing there C1 motor consider changing the front line that crosses the front end .

I have never considered that I might actually have to depend on mine; just converted the m/c to prove that it could be done... really don't want to find out like you did either

I have thought about converting my 1957 to a dual system as well. Can anyone hear provide the parts required?

well bleeding brakes with my 13 year old son Ryan is over Thank you Son , It took a few times around to get a good pedal , the cover on the newer dual MC I was not to happy with the rubber seal I will want to have a spare in shop for any possible leaks at master cylinder , all four bleeders freed up with no problem But none worked as intended , we changed all four !
Just maybe in the future I would do front disk conversion and always liked the idea of the adjustable drum brake setup on the rears mentioned in a old forum thread .
On a good note getting out in the garage in NYC winter with my son and a vintage corvette is a plus we managed a jump on spring service , a valid test run can now be made trying out the current 2x4 rebuilds .

Follow all the links in Bill's post or go to post #15 in this post:https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-cylinder.html
Then look at all the pages to see how it can be done, pictures included.
