Does anyone make a light weight, carbon (or frp) race targa top?

Race? I know that ACP did Carbon tops for both C5 and C6, though I don't know if he has a C7 mold. Have seen a couple other aftermarket pieces, though don't know the weight difference v oe.

Anything specific that you're looking to replace? What model?

c5 base. Just trying to see if there is something lightweight out there.

Thinking about this a little bit, Kerry's parts may or may not be the right answer. Most of ACP's stuff is good race quality, but for something like this would be more of a "cut the OE hoop out and make sure to weld Dzus tabs on the cage" kind of thing.

I can't speak to the fit / finish / quality, but it does look like there are a few other carbon options that are a more OE kind of targa top ... 7lbs vs 20ish lbs re-using the factory mounts. Cost going either way qualifies as not cheap, but not all too obscene for the piece itself -- most of the decision is whether $100 per lb is worth it to you.

I searched also, but didnt find anything other than a couple of sellers on ebay.

I just wanted to see if there was a known supplier here on the forum.

I have a carbon top for my C5 and it weighs about 1/2 of the factory glass top. I got it off eBay a few years ago, fit and finish is nice but not really sure who made it. They are out there tho
