Default 2014 Help

I am going to look at a 2014 and have a couple of questions.

Where would I find the RPO sticker on the car? Also being the first year of production where there significant changes on the later cars and any issues in the 2014?

Thanks for any help the forum can provide.

I had a 2014 until August and had no issues, there’s another thread that is going similar to this and in general the responses have been similar to my experience. I think the RPO sticker may be under the carpet in rear near battery. There have been changes in subsequent model years but depending on what you are wanting nothing than in my opinion screams out don’t buy a 14, but a 201X. [/left]

Significant changes from 2014 are the availability of the PDR and the switch from the A6 to the A8. If you plan to track the car, the PDR would probably be a real plus. Many would view the A8 with concern (there have been many issues reported with the A8). If you're looking for a manual transmission and don't plan to track it, then there is no significant differences for any year over another.

Yes, the RPO sticker is under the carpet in the rear near the battery.

If you live in a mountainous area, as I do, you will do better with a 2014 and its 6 speed transmission. Local driving results in a fair amount of shifting and even with a 6 speed it drives me nuts. An 8 speed would not be fun..

I own a 2014 coupe and have had NO issues sine I bought it back in May 2014... No service issues, no recalls other than the gas filler neck that had to be replaced.......

Good luck..

I preordered mine. Took delivery Dec 2013. Z51 3LT A6. Only issues I had were the screen flicker and the infamous pinging or warble sound under light load. Both conditions were repaired under warranty. Im at ~39k miles.

Lots a luck on the purchase.

May not be significant to others but in 2016, the addition of Apple Car Play / Android Auto and the front cameras were significant enough to me that as a result, I ordered my car.

My 2014, built 2/19/14 has been completely trouble free. It's a 2LT Z51 M7 MRC NPP. it continues to be a great ride for me!

Parked for storage.

Those front cameras would take a lot of anxiety out of some parking scenarios.

I don't understand why it's so hard for some folks to comprehend that it's OK to not pull all the way forward in a parking space. Even if you stop 3 feet short, your rear is still far less exposed than a pickup truck in the same space.

$400 and a few hours of DIY added a front camera to my '14. I've had zero issues with my Corvette. It was delivered 5/9/2014.

I've had my 2014 Z51 3 years and it has not been back to dealer except oil changes. A great car in every way.

My 14 is a better all around driving car than my 17 Z. The '14 feels like limp mode when it comes to the throttle! Not just hp but throttle mapping. Both verts have 3 package and automatic. Do not even notice fewer gears, as it handles Ohio roads so much better than the Z. A track car really is for the race track
