B-J Trivia
While watching the auction on Sunday afternoon when a 67 small block coupe went through with a stinger hood ,
Both Mike Joy and Steve Minyota (sorry for the spelling of his name ) stated that it has now been proven that some small block cars got the stinger hood because of production line shortages .
Can anyone confirm this ?

Did they actually say "now been proven?"

Well there's a lot of folks on this forum that Mike is going to have to "prove that to" and I'm one of them.

I DVRd the B-J broadcasts and watched Sunday's episodes today. I also heard him say that some small blocks did receive big block hoods as production was winding down. I immediately thought to myself, well that's not people that were there like John Z say. I think that Magnante was having a bad day. He also said that Shelby GT500s returned in coupes in 2007 and the convertibles followed in 2008. I had a 2007 GT500 convertible. GT500 convertibles followed the coupes by 1 year in the 60s but not with the newer models.

He didn't say "now has been proven". He just repeated the story the way we've all heard it before. Urban myth that keeps coming back up like a bad garlic burp.

Actually, the information about 67 big block hoods on small block cars started with a reference in Noland Adams C2 book.
Subsequent research and investigation has determined that there was no actual basis for the statement in Noland's book.
That information appears to have been a bit self serving.

[QUOTE=car junkie;1596432822]There's a lot of interest in the "sold sticker girl", we see a lot of backside shots but no facials.
So, what's your point?
