Default How long will it take to reel one in?

https://kingston.craigslist.ca/cto/d...470353587.html

Strike one, it appears to be a 66....color/hood.

If it turns out to be legit, whoever gets it please don't let me know!

My father recently passed and after going through his belongings and effects is his old car. The papers say it is a 1965 Chevrolet Corvette. It has been in the back garage for years an doesn't look very good. Lots of rust, flat tires and won't start.

He always said he would love to fix it, sadly he never got around to it.

I have no interest in it and the money would sure help with expenses. Not sure if I have the price right but I know these cars can be popular.

Must be another garage on the property with a Corvette in it - the picture of the hood and grille says this one is a '66........

I'm the guy who voted "I bought it" in the poll.

Actually, I don't have it yet, but I paid a deposit equal to the buying price.

Oh, and since it was such a good deal, I went ahead and paid $10,000 for it so no one else could outbid me.

I wired the money to a prince in Nigeria, so I'm feeling pretty good about this one.

He's probably here making plans to deliver your car. I've heard they do deliver free for your inspection and then you pay for it.

The prince is a nice guy. I met him in jail a few years ago. I think I'm married to his sister, at least he told me she's his sister. Great girl too but I don't see her as much as I'd like. She works for a big guy that's a physical trainer about 80 hours a week. Not much sex either, says she's always tired when she gets home from work...go figure.

I wired him the money yesterday. Sounds like a great guy, odd accent, he said he also needs some money for his brother's shipping expenses, to get the car here. Is $5,899 too much for shipping?

It seems like 75% of the adds on Craigslist are scams now. Most of them you can spot pretty quickly. I'm in the Boston area and I esp love the ones that are listed as local with Palm trees in the back ground of the pictures. Or the ones that have an e-mail address plastered across the front of the picture. I use to report them but there are just too many now. It's not worth wasting the time.

It is probably real at $5,000. Craigslist scams have a specific and standradized $9,000 listing price for collector car scams.

Exactly right.

That's why I jumped all over it.

What could possibly go wrong?

I'd have to say congratulations on your transaction! Just when we assume so many ads are scams, one like this pops us, reviving our faith in worldwide humanity. (laughter in background)
