Default Aftermarket trans cooler location

So I am looking to see what others have done as far as location and mounting of an aftermarket trans cooler with fan.
Thoughts and pics appreciated.

I eliminated fog lamps and installed the coolers there transmission in passenger side and engine oil on the d/s with 8 inch fans as not enough air gets in true those openings but there's plenty of room.

Opened a 6 inch hole in front of the tires to relieve air pressure from that area and let hot air out. text for pics 305-457-3066

I have fans turning on @ 160 degrees, Summit has a 8" fan draws only 4 amps and blows 2400 cfm

Using -6 an cooler and light Russel's blue trace pro classic hoses.

I did what xboostx did. Added trans and oil coolers up front. I removed the driving lights.

trans temps dropped 40+ degrees whil racing. That’s huge
oils temps say lower. 245 max under heavy racing conditions.

amazing what a little extra air cooling can do

Was getting in excess of 245*F in 70*F ambients and above 260*F above 80*F. Replaced B&M with a 2 stacked plate Setrabs (50-619-7612) and now max out @ 235*F in the 80*s. Stacked plate type is a must. Build quality of Setrab seems a fair amount better when you view them side by side. IMO, get the better quality and do it only once.

Good luck either way.

Must be something else going on there. With the B&M I don't see over 150 in normal driving and never more than 190 no matter how hard I'm pushing.

No need to re read it. All I'm saying is if the B&M can work great for me it should for anyone. I don't know why you said it doesn't.

No worries. I maybe misunderstood you're post. Thought it says you tried them and changed them out cause didn't cool well.

Terry (TKOGTO) is a road racer. Drives the tires right off his GS and I've seen it first hand at Watkins Glen. So his experience is likely being reported on a race track. And I agree with him.
