These are quite a bit less than the cup 2's, anyone running them? 305/30r19 fronts, 325/30r19 rears. Wider in front and just a tiny bit narrower in rear. $400 less per set than i can get cup 2's for.

Haven't tried them. It looks like the front is a half inch taller in diameter and rear is a tenth of an inch taller. That's probably not a big deal. Obviously you'll need 19" rear rims and they spec a minimum rim width of 10.5" for the fronts which won't work unless you get a ZR1 front rim.

Are those the tires Goodyear developed and are spec’d on the ZL11LE?

Can you elaborate on this?? I might be missing something (likely) but why would you need a 19" rim in the rear to use these?? Is the .1" going to cause a rubbing issue??

I was thinking about these tires for the rear of my Z, as the factory tires have worn out.... I don't track the car though, so these might be overkill... also thinking of the Conti ExtremeContact Sport

The sizes that the OP quoted are all 19" tires.

I only looked at Tire Rack but it looks like they only come in 19 inch sizes. They are an R compound tire similar to the Michelin Cup2s. They have a tread rating of 100 Vs the Cup2s 180 and max 5/32 tread depth which means you get 3/32 of usable tread before the wear strips are showing. You don't want these if you want to have long tire life they won't last as long as the Cup2s.

Do these tires have the same issue with cracking in cold temps? I'm fine with dry weather tires but would like some that are okay in the cold.

$340 for the fronts and $393 for the rears in our WB sizes. Now to go over to the Camaro forum and see how folks are liking them.

I have had previous generations of these on my ZL1. No good for a street tire and I use slicks on the track.

When I got my 2011 Shelby GT500 I was reading the manual and my eyes bugged out when I read that the car should not be driven if the temperature was 40 degrees or lower. I said HUH?! Turns out it was the crap Goodyear tires the car came with. One day I was driving home from the Ford dealer. The car temperature gauge said the outside temperature was 43 degrees. I went to VERY SLOWLY pass a car on the right so as to get ahead of him to pull into his lane to make a left turn which was about 4 blocks ahead. As I really eased on the gas the car started to slide over towards his car so I quickly had to back off. The next day those crap Goodyear tires came off and Michelin tires came on. I had no such trouble with them. And that was the advice that the Shelby forum gave to new car owners. Get rid of the Goodyear tires as quick as they could before they had a wreck. I'm surprised that Ford and/or Goodyear didn't get sued over those tires. I bet they caused many a wreck.

They do get slick in the cold. No big deal if you are a driver. Work great on the track. They are light like a slick too. They pick up rocks really bad as expected for a track tire.

the michelin comes with the same 40 degree operating warning and also comes with a cracking warning at 20.

I think that's what were on the cars when I went to Bondurant and I tried them once on my 2011 Grand Sport, again if it's the tires that are available today. They were aweful. I wouldn't buy any tire that said Goodyear unless they were drag slicks.

Default Goodyear Eagle® F1 SuperCar® 3R

Goodyear Eagle® F1 SuperCar® 3R is a new track tire developed for GM.
First used on the Camaro ZL1 1LE. Non runflat.
Not a good street tire. Needs heat to develop grip same as the Michelin PSC2. Grip on the track is as good as Michelin. Wear is about the same depending on suspension settings.
Breakaway at the limit of adhesion is not as sudden with the Goodyears vs Michelin run flats. I have used Hoosiers, Michelin PSC, and PSC2 as track tires on a C6 Z06. Michelin PSC and PSC2 on a C7 Z06.
Currently have a Camaro ZL1 1LE with 19 inch Goodyear Eagle® F1 SuperCar® 3R tires. On my third set.
Camaro is 3800 pounds, 300 pounds heavier than a C7 Z06.
Currently a $100 mail in rebate from Goodyear on a set of Goodyear Eagle® F1 SuperCar® 3R tires.

It sounds like these are a newer version of what I had, so please disregard my earlier post as it appears to be out dated. Good luck.

how does the 3r compare to the cup2s in terms of tire life on the track? How many track days or weekends are you getting out of the 3r compared to the cup2s?

I'm interested in trying the 3r.....I'm currently running the cup2s and I get 2 full weekends out of them before needed a new set.

1000 street break in miles and about 700 track miles on the first set. Road Atlanta and AMP. Neither track is that hard on tires. You need enough negative camber front and rear to get max use. They were not worn out but had degraded from heat cycles.
I like them better than Michelin. They have a feel similar to Hoosier R7's. Grip level is subjective. Camaro at 3800 pounds on Goodyear turns lap times at AMP comparable to 3500 C7 on Michelin's. C6 Z06 3200 pounds is two seconds a lap faster on Michelin and 4 seconds faster on fresh Hoosier's at AMP. I am going to order 19 inch wheels for my C6 Z06 and run Goodyear Eagle® F1 SuperCar® 3R when I use street tires. Lees expensive than Michelin but not runflat for street use.
I have a couple of sets of new Michelin PSC2's on New Cup Wheels (19&20 inch) that I am going to sell.
