Complete Black Sport Seats w/ Grey Inserts & Matching Accessories - Philly PA Pickup
Hey Everyone,
I am selling a complete pair of C5 Corvette Sport Seats out of my totaled 2000 NBM 6-speed manual coupe. The seats were restored 2 years ago during winter at 51,000 miles and were used for an additional 4,000 miles after the restoration. I took these seats down to the metal frames and reinforced the foam where the factory design is flawed at the frames, fixed the air bladders via the blood pressure cuff method found on these forums, and topped the rebuild off with new 2 tone leather from Interior Innovations. A TON of time, money, and effort was put into these seats as I wanted to update my interior but keep it stock looking with a modern twist. No corners were cut during this project. All bladders and seat track adjustments work properly. The rocking seat fix was performed on these seats by the previous owner of the car about 10 years ago. Also worth noting is these seats are equipped with the memory package.
The seats will be sold from tracks to the headrests. All motors, internal wiring, modules, bladders, foam, switches, and new leather will be included. Seat belts are not included as I need them for another project (simply re-use yours, they are held in by 1 bolt per seat).
Included in this sale is a matching center console pad, shift boot mated to the factory plastic ring, emergency brake handle with boot & factory frame, and a leather passenger airbag grab bar (see pictures for all of these items). It took me hours to fit the boots to the frames and fabricate the leather pad to the center console. Now all of these items can basically bolt into your car with little to no hassle.
I removed these from the car this weekend. I took them inside and went over them again with Lexol cleaner and conditioner.
SOLD

Wow! Stunning seats. Love the two tone.
Two things I wished for:
1. I was closer to PA
2. I had the extra cash
Good luck, some will be getting some great looking seats and matching pieces.

Thanks for the kind words! If I remember correctly, didn't you buy my Chadwicks pads and compounds last year? My car met it's untimely demise shorty after. It's a shame.

Good looking seats and other interior pieces. This is a good deal for someone wanting to upgrade their interior. Best of luck with the sale.

Sorry to hear that about your car. No plans on another one?
When you get to the point of giving them away because they're taking up space, let me know, I'll take the drive to PA.

As for giving them away, I may consider just parting these seats out on eBay. They're easily worth asking price in parts alone. I'll give it a little time before going that route.

I plan on going Gen 5 Camaro ZL1. The Vette got wrecked 6 days before my first kid was born, so I'll need a back seat if I want to stay in the hobby.

I honestly wish I had the resources to buy these. If I happen into some extra cash, you'll be the first to know.

Does the console lid include the plastic lid too or is it just the skin? Hard to tell from the pic but I do see that it "took hours to fabricate". Thanks.

Yes, it does include the lid as part of one assembly. You are correct, it did take a few hours of experimentation to fabricate this lol. I wanted everything to look like it came from the factory this way. I snapped a few pictures so everyone can see the underside of the lid. Anyone who buys this can simply unbolt the stock one and bolt this in it's place. Same goes for the e-brake handle, and the seats and the shifter. I probably had 6 hours into the shifter boot, brake handle/boot, and this console. I want to sell this whole setup as "plug and play" as it gets. Any more questions let me know.

Thanks for the clarification and additional pics.. this is looking better haha. Just to double check the seat covers AND other pieces are genuine leather and not the synthetic versions from Interior Innovations? Also were the seat foams replaced from Interior Innovations?

Yes, the seat covers and all accessories included are real genuine leather from Interior Innovations. Here is part of the receipt from that transaction:
Seat foam is all original with the exception of the drivers seat bottom that was replaced by previous owner in 2006. It is all in great shape and I saw no need to replace it.
When I had the seats apart I took the liberty of adding reinforcements under the seats per the following thread:
https://www.corvetteactioncenter.com...-than-new.html
The thread goes into detail about how the factory design is flawed and allows for the metal wires and frame to cut into the foam as the seat is used and people enter and exit the car. I added jute backing to the center of the foam so the wires wouldn't cut into the foam, and also added reinforcing on the sides where the metal frame is known for cutting into the foam. I just went downstairs and snapped a picture of the underside of one of the seats. Note the black jute backing glued to the foam and the green foam supports. This actually made me sit about an inch higher in the car after all was said and done.
If you are still interested in buying, I can meet you somewhere along the I-95 corridor in DE/North MD to save you some time. Let me know.
Thanks,
Mike
