I am looking into this myself, a car I am interested in potentially purchasing is just over 2,000 miles away so I would prefer to pay to have it shipped.
Please report back here who you go with.

Safety Car
I have shipped a number of cars a number of times, with a few different carriers and never had a problem. It is actually cheaper to ship a car than to drive it. The shipper should be insured and I sell a car, I leave insurance on it even if the title is signed and Bill of Sale is complete. I figure that way I know it is most likely covered 3X.
If you are indeed very nervous or uncomfortable, then drive it, but frankly you are at more risk driving it than shipping it!

I ended up using Auto Shipping Group out of Washington state. I'll let everyone know how it works out. They are scheduled to pick it up today and deliver it in March 1st.

I needed to get a C7 from Ohio to Seattle, Reliable and Intercity both quoted me 2 months. In 2 months the snow will melt in the Rockies and I could drive it home. Used Auto Shipping Group also.

I signed them up on a Thursday night. A week later, my car was picked up. It is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow or Friday, one week later. I'll post how the delivery goes.

I've not heard of a 2 month delay like that; not doubting your word but there's got to some good reason(s) for it.

When I needed to transport my latest ZR1 from outside Atlanta to Scottsdale in October of last year Reliable, Intercity both were 6-9 weeks out......I ended up going with Exotic Transport (out of Orlando FL) who picked my car up in a week and had it here in Scottsdale 10 days later - they were recommended to me by the seller and I could not have been happier. For some reason the others were so far out it was as though they did not want my business! I even went through our Forum vendor contacts.....

I got my Grand Sport delivered this morning. It was picked up near Detroit last Thursday evening and got to San Diego by 8am, less than 1 week. It was on the top an
d in the front of the 6 car enclosed trailer. Peter and his co driver unloaded an Alpha and a C7 Z06 to get mine out using the elevator ramp. They were super careful of all the cars. Ziggy has 3 trucks and you can call Peter directly to see if they are right for you. Peter will split the normal brokers fee with you so you can save some money. His number is 904 545 7181.

They had just had 3 days of snow the weekend before I bought the car. Highway 80 had multiple car pile ups. I didn't want to risk it. I love road trips too. Last time I bought a car out of state, a friend and I flew to Houston and drove it back to San Diego top down visiting friends and family along the way .
