Default X pipe and low end power

So after reading as many posts as possible on first mods to the Z and I ended up getting the Tony Mamo throttle body and BMS filter and was just about to pull the trigger on a Borla x pipe when I read a post that mentioned after putting the x pipe on they lost a little low end power but gained on the top end with better overall performance. I take my car to flashlight drags a handful of times a year which is 1/8 mile and an occasional 1/4 mile track. So for my application seems to me that wouldn’t be the way I should go and wanted to get some more feedback to make a more informed decision. Appreciate your feedback.

i think you talking about the Corsa! Eithers way, loss/gains would be marginal, its more about the sound. Dont worry about losing anything that worth mentioning!

I know that I lost a tenth + with the Corsa, most was lost on the bottom end but was still down on mph at the end of the 1/4 too.

You have to ask yourself, do I go for a different 'sound' but have to always look at the rearends of stockers. Only you can make the call.

Don't know about Borla, never tried one.

I've run the Corsa and Borla. The Borla was quicker by a tenth in the quarter. There was no loss of bottom end compared to stock with the Borla. The poster you are referring to was using a butt dyno. I have actual time slips with 60' times.
