1979 Rebuilt small gauge console.
80 degrees yesterday and I just had to take her for a quick cruise.
No heat/sound padding, no carpet, no door liners, no radio. Just the drivers seat.
Everything was fine until the 40 yr old seat adjustment lever spring broke. Made for an interesting ride home.
At least the dash is in and the speedometer works again, so does the clock!
These aftermarket parts do NOT go together like a puzzle. EVERYTHING needs some fine fitting to make them gel. I really thought they would fit better for the price I paid for everything.
That's POR15 on the floor boards.
Rebuilt the console and put all new lights in. Don't know which lights worked before or not.
But now even though I know I have a full tank of gas, I get a low fuel indicator.
I am a rookie mechanic, calling me any kind of a mechanic is wrong. LOL
Any ideas what to do here?

Did you put the small circuit board in for the low fuel light. If not the light will stay on. Wilcox sells new low fuel warning modules.

Yes I did but I wonder if it is working.
You are referring to the small board that plugs in to the back of the console, correct? Circled in red.
I wonder if the orientation of the board makes a difference?

Yes that's the module. I had to replace mine.
But I also tested the sending unit in the tank to make sure it was getting the 0 to 90 ohms signal. I can't remember the orientation of the module on the panel. Willcox has a test for the module on their website

I started working on a simple interior repair early October 2011. Everything I touched led to something else. By March 2012 I couldn't stand it any longer and drove with no dash, instruments, carpets, seats...nothing. Sat on a folded up bath towel. That was the inspiration I needed to get it finished for a May car show.

The low fuel sensor can ONLY go in one way correctly. There are three contacts on the low fuel sensor and they have to mate up with teh three contact points in your printed circuit board.
