Default New Gold lines

I just put new gold lines on my 65 coupe along with a new set of wheel covers from Corvette Specialties of MD. The car originally came with gold lines, so it is good to get it back to stock. I was going to go with knockoffs but decided to stay stock, I'm glad I did, the combination looks good. The only problem is the wheel covers are so shiny it's hard to get a good picture in the sun. The tires are Diamond Back's.

Good looking '66! I see what you mean about shinny wheel covers. Dennis

Default Which Diamondbacks

I'm getting close to pulling the trigger on a set of DBack Goldlines.

Looks great I have gold lines on my 65 from Diamondback.
The pipes, gold lines and new hubcaps work great together on your coupe.

Looks good.....my '65 had bias ply goldlines with caps when I got it back in '98 (for NCRS JUDGING). After a few years and three more Top Flights, I decided to go with goldline radials and bolt on knock offs. I still have the caps and the steel wheels/tires though for future use if desired!

I have the Diamond Back 2 Toyo’s. They are great tires.

We went up yesterday, we were just about the only car on the road. Wish it could stay that way all year.

My car came from the factory with white walls and hubcaps, but the previous owner switched to the gold line/knock-off combination. I like it much better.

You won't find three better looking C2 coupes with goldlines then posted above in thread.
Very nice. Enjoy!

Man, I sure have a hard time trying to figure out the color of these cars on the Internet. I can't distinguish between Mossport green and silver but then I am color blind.

I'm also considering DB goldlines, but somewhat hesitant -- my car is rally red, black interior & soft top. (I'd welcome member pic examples of rally red w/goldstripe + KO wheels). Couple questions follow for recent DB customers:

Does DB achieve a decent 'gold' color viewed real-time & light, or does it favor an 'orange' or 'yellow' tint as is sometimes presented by the photo images?

Is the preferred radial position from the wheel & the width of stripe specified by the customer to DB when ordering?

Thanks in advance.

I hope this helps. At the time the below pic was taken, the tires were Coker Goldlines. I think the consensus here is that Coker tires were/are more orange than gold and after seeing other goldlines from DB I would agree.

So, if our '66 Window Sticker says;

2T01AA 775X15X2 PLY GSW

Does that mean it came with Gold Lines? If so, they were $46.41.....

If you have the window sticker I would think it would have the RPO number on it which would be T01
