Default Corsa x-pipe. Speed engineering headers.

so this is my first post and I don’t know if this is the correct thread, but I’m in the market for exhaust right now, and I’m still young so don’t have the money to spend $1500 on an exhaust, I’ve been looking at the speed engineering headers but don’t like that you have to cut the stock H-pipe. I found a Corsa x-pipe that would connect straight to the axle back, you guys think it would be worth it to spend the extra $50 to be able to bolt the x-pipe straight to the mufflers? I think the x pipe is in a slight different location so I may need a little bit of extra piping I’ll post a picture of the engineering headers kit and the Corsa for you guys to examine and let me know what you think.

Can the speed engineering headers be bought without the x-pipe? I've been researching budget headers, and I haven't seen the speed engineering headers offered by themselves. So but the time you buy the header kit and a separate x pipe, you could purchase a true bolt in kit.

yes they can be bought separate but you have to call to get them. I emailed them and they told me that.

How much are the headers without the x pipe? I don't mind cutting my stock mid pipe, and their design looks like it would be easy to adapt .

they told me just the headers are $269 which is really cheap, I just like to be able to unbolt the mufflers and I saw a video of a guy who installed the kit and where you cut the exhaust and put clamps he also welded it because he didn’t think they fit tight enough.

I used speed engineering headers on my 99 z28 and they fit great. Would not have a problem buying from them again.

Subbing to this. I have a slight exhaust leak for a couple minutes after a cold start and figure if I have to do the work to fix it, it may be good idea to make it worth my time and gain some HP.

This price really peeked my interest, maybe a few more people with experience with them on a C5 will chime in as well.

I currently have a Corsa Xtreme cat-back bolted to the stock H-pipe.

I want to upgrade to an X-pipe and add headers. If I buy their kit, does it include an X-pipe? If it includes an X-pipe, does the X-pipe bolt right up to the Corsa cat-back or the X-pipe requires some sort of cutting or welding to bolt to the Corsa cat-back?

I do not want to cut or weld. Ideally, I just want cheap headers and X-pipe that bolt onto the Corsa.

I would just cut the pipe honestly, if you aren't going to use the stock pipe anymore then what's the issue?

Are you referring to what I wrote? If so, I meant cut or weld the Corsa cat-back. I want headers and an X-pipe that will bolt right up to the Corsa cat-back. Do you know if this will bolt right up to the cat-back?
