1982 Vs. 1984 Crossfire Injection...
Hi...
Besides the Air Cleaner Assembly, whats the difference between 1982 Crossfire Injection and the 1984 Crossfire Injection?
I have a chance to buy a spare manifold/injectors from a 1982 Corvette.. Want to use the injectors and other parts from it... For my 1984 Corvette...
Thanks for your help...

Should be bolt and go. My FSM half shows an 84 and half shows an 82. The 84 intake may have holes between the runners the 82 doesn't. Maybe a different part number for the injectors. It'll work fine. Or at least from my understanding it should.

I mainly want the injectors.. Hoping they are the same....? That way I can get the 82 Injectors rebuilt while my car is still running...
Thanks,
Steve

One caution (you may know) the front and rear injectors are of different capacity, supposedly to make up for the fuel pressure drop in the system. The Camaro 305 Cross-Fire has yet another set of lower capacity injectors.

I'm not sure on the fuel presure thing, but the front injector hold the IAC valve and the rear does not.

Yes, one flows an extra pound per hour or something.
associated pressure drop in the hose between the two. Can't beat frictional losses.

82 CFI should work seamlessly on an '84. Differences were outside the "CFI" part; exhaust, accessory drive, cooling fan, valve covers, water pump.
