LS7 thread sealer needed to water jacket?
I am installing a set of heads on my LS7 and want to confirm that none of the holes are thru to water jacket?
Doesn't seem any of the holes are thru to water jacket when probing with .22 cal brush. I also found a 2006 service manual at brakes-online and none of the holes are marked as thru. If not, then I will use ARP Ultra-Torque with the head bolts, and not the thread sealer.

Thanks for the confirmation.... Second guessing myself and I'll just feel better if somebody else agrees!

No need, but you do need to use a thread cleaner, and clean the treads before installing new ones.

Exactly. Just break cleaner/compressed air/etc. You will be amazed at the junk that clears out. If you don't clean the threads you risk cracking the block, or not getting proper torque.

The ls7 head bolt holes are blind. No thread sealer needed.
However, they must be clean and clear of debris and fluid. Failure to clear will, at minimum, lead to false torque readings or, worst, a damaged block
