I've been going for many years. They keep moving the date up every year. It's usually cold or raining. I have my doubts, suppose to be in the 50's.

At a new location again this year.

As a vendor, I stopped going 3 or 4 years ago, it just wasn't worth it anymore. I miss it being at Chilhowee Park in Knoxville.

I'll be going. Already got a room reserved up there. Hope the weather's not too bad. They're taking a big chance moving the event up three weeks to the beginning of March.

It seemed like a bigger draw back in the Chilhowee days. Wasn't the event 3 days back then?

If anyone goes Friday, please post up here if it's worth my time to drive over Saturday. Only a 45 minute drive away, but the last few shows have been well....... But, after going to Carlisle the last couple of years it's hard to not be disappointed.

Going Friday. Hope the new location does something for the vendor turnout. Weather is supose to be zero rain Fri thru Sunday. I'll post up my thoughts of the show. The Sevierville location was getting worse and worse each year. Ya, bring back Chillhowie Park!

Talked to several folks who went in years past and they recommended not to go. That’s a pretty good endorsement to spend the day doing something else

If you should see a couple of unfinished C2 builds, a 67 & a 64 in a builder's booth/space could you take a few pics of them. The 67 should have a stunning set of 20" 67 bolt on KO wheels. They are one off replicas of them.

I'm housebound this weekend.

I am planning on going on Saturday. Oh I miss the days of the show being at Chilowee Park. That was a lot of fun. Weather is supposed to be good. Hopefully there will be a good turnout.

I'm not liking the weather at the moment. Wish they hadn't moved it up so early. If I go I may just drive my truck and look around a little.. if we get good reports from some of the people going today:-)

Default Back From the Corvette Expo

Really great turn out of fellow Corvette owners. The new location for the show is a hit in my opinion. The LaConte Center is a very nice facility. Nice and clean, lots of space there. The show inside had a ton of beautiful cars there. Some really magnificient rides. Place to sit and rest outside the show area. Small vendor area for a snack and bathroom breaks. Vendor turnout was satisfactory, but would have liked to seen more. Was able to really stock up on t shirts and picked up a set of jacking pucks for the oil change coming up. I really enjoyed the show. Well worth the time. Free parking and 12 frog skins a head to get in. Not to shabby. Hope they keep the Expo here for a while. Wife and I had a good time. Be there next year.

The show will move to later in the month of March next year.
EXPO had a conflict with another show in the new venue this year. The other show will move to the earlier March date next year and EXPO will be (likely) the 3rd week of March.
The new venue is much nicer than the old one. There is free parking for everyone. More vendors are attending, and yesterday's crowd was very good. There may never be an auction again, as the licensing for the new location has simply been too big of hassle.
The sales corral and vendor area is still there and the inside car show was much larger than in the past few years. The park and show, along with the road tour are still being held. Reports that I heard is that the road tour last night was outstanding (probably because I stepped back for being the planner and leader because of health reasons) LOL
