What options to upgrade 2014 C7 Z51 brake duct cooling?
I've boiled my brake fluid more than once now at the track using upgraded pads and am wondering if there are solutions out there to upgrade the brake cooling on my 2014 z51? i'm back to running to stock pads because boiling the liquid is scary and sucks as it ruins your rtack day but the fade is really bad and when i compare to what a GTR brakes like it is not acceptable.
it seems that in 2017 some new colling parts were made for z06? Is it a bolt on that fits a 2014 z51 though?
i just ordred DBA t3 rotors also FYI in case makes a difference for the metal ieces that go over the rotors.
any helps would be greatly appreciated when it comes to where to buy or part numbers to use

If you're boiling fluid you're using shitty fluid or you suck at driving because you're using the brakes entirely to much.
Our cars do need a lot better brake cooling, I ordered that kit until I replace the spindles so I can setup a more effective solution.
That new design pulls air from under the car btw not from the grill it seems.

Is the more open ducting in the Z06 grille of any value? I know the brake cooling ducting in my 2017 Z51 aligns perfectly with the opening in the Z06 grille I installed.

It's marginally better airflow. I have my Z51 grill modified (dremeled) where the brake ducts are.
The Z51 ducts just dont get enough directed air to the rotors.

I also just ordered that kit from Cultrag for my Z51. Probably won't get to install it for another month or so. It seems that they were intended to work together with a set of "wheel blockers" but I'm not sure how the blockers would work with Z51 wheels. So I'm going with just the new duct work for now.
I had no problem with the RBF 600 fluid, but developed hotspots /excessive pad build up with my xp12 pads on the crappy stock 2 pc rotors last year at Watkins Glen .
Had those front rotors replaced, under warranty, with the new stock 1 piece rotors but the runout on the rears was only about .001 so I've had to order the DBA T3's for the rear myself
Will be back to Watkins Glen in June.
As I see it, the new ducting does pull air from under the car, in addition to the normal airflow from the front grill ducts (I do have the Z06 grill mounted)

The Z06/GS grille aids airflow over the radiator more than it does the brake ducts. Brake duct airflow is marginally improved, but I doubt anyone would notice a brake cooling difference because of it.

Just eyeballing both grills, the larger Z06 opening would have to flow more air to the brakes as well as the engine.
Not something I can quantify but, hey, every little bit helps.
