That’s the wrong question. You should ask do I want a vette
If you answer yes , then buy one BUT be warned they are contagious.

If you're having to "save" a year to buy a Ferrari you can't afford the upkeep my man.

I think this is a troll post and I've just fed him.

The OP has been a member here for almost 3 years. If he hasn't bought one by now he probably won't. I agree I think he is just trying to stir the pot.

You have to ask yourself, "Do I need a Vette"? The answer is no. But if you ask yourself "Do I want a Vette?" If you answer yes then you need to have one.

As has been mentioned... Nobody NEEDS a vette.. But it is a fun toy to have and will always put a smile on your face... I didn't need one but I decided to buy myself one instead of an engagement ring for my girlfriend of 4 years.... Can't say I regret it either

Do I need one...NO......do I deserve one...YES...after working all my life for everybody else....I got me a little something....but only after my obligations were met. My one selfish thing in 71 years...no apologies...just fact

I admire your austerity. Granted, all of my other financial obligations were taken care of as well, but buying my vette was about the tenth selfish thing I did that month...and I bought it on the 6th.

thanks all. i'll keep shopping around. i don't have a single good option in my area just nowalthough in winter I had a nice one for $18k.

i'm pretty sure vette won't hurt my feelings, if I find a good deal on it and won't like it worst case is I waste a few grand on it, it's not like i'm ditching this money down the drain. Vettes hold their values very well and it's a good sign in my book.

I have had 3 C6's. I have had to leave for work on a few contracts and instead of them sitting here I usually let them go to someone who will appreciate it. I'll put it this way, I come back and always end up buying another C6. I have owned many sports cars, these are special.

is C6 your daily driver? or it beats your ***/back up so you can only drive it for 30 minutes a day?

Interior is still factory condition.

On the other hand I have some extra cash on the side, and a wish to have smth quicker than g plus corvette is something I liked for my entire life.

So that's it: I don't really need a new car, I don't really need my cash (I figured 30 years is too early to become too frugal). I have no debt, I don't need a house.

Do I need a vette? Is this something you MUST buy if you can? I can afford a vette, but will it take me to next level on the roads?

I've been thinking to sell a G, but with being what it is, especially on AWD+winter tires in New England it's a must have here, so seems like I'm looking for a third car vs upgrading second one.

I'm DIY type of guy and can complete lots of tasks on my won to certain extent, I'm also looking for C6 AT.

I'm located in CT and if you have something like that for sale we can talk about this while test driving it. Otherwise, opinions appreciated.

Thanks.
I will give you some help, DO NOT BUY A CORVETTE! Here are just a few reasons: you are too wishy washy (on the fence, need help}, un-American ( admire Japan), you are a moron (don't need my cash), not manly enough ( AT).

Zerry, maybe you need to quit being so shy and just come right out and say what's on your mind!

I bought an 11 GS over a C7 because I love the C6 widebody looks over the C7 although I do love the looks of the C7, especially because of the reintroduction of orange.

Be willing to travel for the right deal. I’m driving 6hrs to get my car on Friday. Took about a day to find it and buy it. Had a few ZL1s lined up but the sellers flaked out and one GS but the dealer sold it out from under me.

Also high mileage early C6s can be troublesome to sell. I’m the corvette world anything over 20k miles is high miles and should be avoided.

I have a 06 Z06 nice car, goes ok has a trunk for those weekend trips, had 19500 miles on it when I got it 2 years back, has a lot more now.
However when it comes to a car I like to drive I'll get into my 70 model C3. the best of real muscle. no BS active handling , no ABS etc a car you get to drive.
If you buy a C Z06 why would you want to sell it, unless you are going to buy a C3 68/72

If that's not a joke, its up there with the most ignorant comments I've read on the forum.

I think the C7 is the ugliest generation . Too much two tone colors and curves for me. The C8 sneak peeks are ugly too. Imo.

No brainer ..
Um, yes you do. Use your "g" for the snow. Going topless(non z06) is fun in the summer. I Wouldn't mind a z06 though, for the 427. Both will break the speed limit with ease.

I'm not Bruce but I figured it was. That's why I said, "if that's not a joke"----
