Default Running while car is off the ground

I have a Hum coming from the rear of the car. I changed the rear tires and still the same so it's not the tires. I want to put the car on jack stands and run the wheels at around 40 mph but I get all kinds of lights on the dash. My car does not seem to like it when the rear wheels are turning and the front are not. so how do I do this? When people Dyno their cars the rear wheels run rather quickly with the front wheels not turning, How do I get around this? Remove a Fuse? or what? HELP ME!

Try holding down the traction control button for 5 seconds or so to disable TC and AH.

Don't worry about the DIC message, since you get the same message when dyno'd the car or running the trans to correctly fill it as well (front tires not moving). As soon as you drive the car on the road again, the message will be gone.

Just to make sure that you have the car supported correctly, since if it falls off the stands, its not going to be pretty.

Should you support at the rear control arms so that the axles aren't hanging? If you find the source of your noise, please post. I have been chasing a noise for two months.

OK Got it going to buy a 33 mm socket and remove the passenger side axle shaft and check the hub. Noise seems to be coming from this side. I'll let u know.

Just trying to run the car at speed with the nannies on the car keeps wanting to brake. When I suspended the Traction control and Active Handling I was able to do whatever I wanted.

As others have said it is the Active Handling or Traction Control. We just rebuilt the trans with new clutch on a C5. Started it up on jack stands to check out everything, .... and there's a noise. Turned off AH and TC (whatever that button does with the skidding car symbol on a C5) and perfect after that.

Hope this helps

So I have the car up on jack stands and with the wheels turning at 3000 rpm's the noise is coming from the passenger side rear wheel. I removed the hub and yes it is the culprit this bearing is kaput. No one has one in stock so i ordered one, should be here maybe Tuesday. Well one more issue put to rest. Thanx guy's for your Help.
