Spending money, always includes a comma (,) in the price. If you have the skill set to do it yourself it will be at a lower cost, but you can't escape the comma (,).

Search the forum.

I'm not interested in doing it myself as I want it done right. Just seeing what everyone else has done to correct the issue that these have.

Congratulations. You will not be disappointed.

For your answer on the valve guide issues all you need to do is read the treads here on the first 2 pages and I am sure you will find all you need to know.

I don't know if the search function has been fix here so just go to google type in "valve guide issues corvette forums" that should get you what you need to know.

Need to know where you are located and I am sure someone will direct you to a good shop to help you.

Location would help, then you can be pointed to a good shop to do it, since you don't want to take a weekend to do it yourself.

Oh....you sure you don’t want to do it yourself?

I used AHP for my head fix...top notch service and uniquely sourced materials to address the issue. The valve guide issue is for real, so please don’t think “it can’t happen to me.” They nay sayers are far outweighed these days...the evidence is very apparent here.

Did you ask seller if it might have already been done?

The previous owner of my Z had the heads fixed but I pulled the valve covers and checked the valves and some of them moved a lot. Also did a leak down test to check for leaks and the heads were leaking back through the intake. So I had new heads custom ported by Tony Mamo.
