Default Nail in tire

Hello,
As you can see on the photo, I have a big nail (or a screw) planted in my left rear tire.
What do you think about it?
Can I just repair by putting a wick?
Or I have to change only this rear tire?
Or I have two change both in the rear?

Thanks for your help.

Your going to get a lot of different answers on this.
I would just plug it, I wouldn't even take it off the car, just rotate it to where you can ram a plug tool into it and be done.
Patching on the inside is cool and all but unless the person who does it knows what he is doing then he will very likely do more harm than good.
Its worth saying that if this is a track car then you just need a new tire.

About a dozen threads on this same topic.

It can be repaired.

Don't take the screw out.

Don't run it flat.

Take it to Discount Tire and they will probably fix it for free.

They have really good equipment and usually do a very good job.

If I need to change the tire, on 2017 grand sport you must change both in the rear or just the one? The car has 2700 mileage and the tires are from the beginning.

You don't need to replace that tire, so put that idea right out of your mind.

I wouldn't let AAA within 10 miles of the car. Don't let it go flat by putting air in it. Drive it to Discount Tire.

You can just change the one, but make sure it is the same kind of tire that’s taken off

Had almost same type of screw in the same place, and I just plugged it, checked the DIC to make sure plug was holding air pressure and never looked back.
All OK!

Sorry, but I don't understand the meaning of "I just plugged it". It is to say you left it in place?

Hes saying he pulled the screw out, and rammed a plug that's covered in rubber cement into the hole, then lived happily ever after.

It's in the first tread block and manufacturers say that's not repairable. But because that tread block is so wide and the 'bolt' is so far from the outer edge of the tire you can probably get a tire shop to plug it. The best way is to have the tire removed, plugged from the inside with a "mushroom" type plug, remount the tire and re-balance it.
.

Ok, understood. In French we say "mèche" that I was translated by "wick". Google translate is sometimes my friend but sometimes not So not the correct word

I have a Discount tire (https://www.discounttire.com/store/v...a-beach/s/2066) 15 miles from home by interstate. Can I drive whitout problem? The tire doesn't lose pressure for the moment.

Is discount tire able to do it?
How many time is necessary to do it?

If you don't mind a scratched up wheel, and the inner liner of the tire damaged, then Discount is a good place to go.

Never scratched my wheels or damaged my tires, two flats for free and a new set of PP on the front.

Consider yourself lucky. By the way, unless you watched them buffing the inner liner of the tire then you don't actually know if its damaged or not. You just know if it holds air or not.

Discount Tire generally has the best tire machines, the secret to no scratches. They also do a lot of exotic cars and have experience with wide, low profile tires. Wear a short skirt and get fast service.
