Default Check out our Performance C5 Trans/Diff Mount!

LUX Trans/Differential mount (LUX TDM)
Designed for the C5 Corvette, SacCityCorvette’s SuperDuty LUX TDM will stabilize the C5 Corvette Trans/Diff and help eliminate drive train shutter that feels like wheel hop. The LUX TDM has a large amount of Polyurethane to minimize noise and vibration making it comfortable for street driving yet stout and firm enough to keep the Trans/Diff stabilized during hard launches, power shifting, racing or just spirited driving. The stock rubber mount is very soft and allows a substantial amount of movement especially with any type of power adders and Drag Radials/Slicks. Keep that Trans /Diff where it belongs with the LUX TDM!
Powder Coated for protection.
Grade 8 & 10.9 Hardware for strength.
Installed with your factory 2 nuts & 2 bolts.
Made In The USA!

Looks like another quality product from SacCityCorvette,
if I didn't already have the Pfadt brace I would be getting
one to go with your engine oiling improvement products
that I have.

I'll be getting the oiling upgrade and the big 3 charge upgrade. Just found those because of Navy BLUE 210.

It seems to me the trans mount can be installed without any extreme effort, such as jacking up the trans? Just bolt in?

Hi,
Pretty simple, just remove the mount nuts and bolts, jack up the trans and wiggle it out.
Thanks
Christian

Can you explain in more detail how this mount handles drive train shutter? It appears to allow some front to back rotation but attempts to limit side to side? Other mounts on the market appear to either stiffen all movement directions or limit side to side rotation from a wider foot print against the cradle like the c6 design. I have not seen any other mount allow front to back like this one. I would be happy to test this mount if needed as I see some wheel hop from a headers only Z06 and have been looking at the various mounts offered.

Hi garrettg,
Our LUX Mount helps eliminate the drive train shutter by being stiffer then the soft stock mount. We experimented with different durometer polys to get the best to keep noise and vibration down and still keep it very stable without it being like a semi solid mount. It also has less movement all around. We tested it on our 02 Zo6 doing hard launches, power shifts and normal driving to make sure we got it right.
If you are getting actual wheel hop a number of things can cause that. But when my C5 zo6 was having bad wheel hop it was the tires causing it. With the new tires burnouts and launches where smooth as silk.

Thanks
Christian

One of our great customers that purchased the LUX Mount did a really nice installation write up that might be helpful.

I purchased the LUX Trans/Differential mount for my black 99 (620 hp) and it really helped with wheel hop.

I'm considering one of these. I put in an HPI mount but now I get gear whine.

I have read that situation has happened to others before and I would just as soon go back to a stock-ish design than have this whine on my DD.

The stock tranny mount is heavy and designed for cancel and eat up harmonics.
Once you go to Pfadt, or any type of tranny mount like it, you will hear and feel noises you never heard or had.
I like it, but something to get used to.
The drivetrain will feel more planted, but you will have more cabin harmonics
