2018 HDR Thursday / Friday
Hi Everyone, we wanted to create a new thread for this Year's activity. Let's stick to this thread for anything related to the HDR's.
Thursday evening 8:30pm - 10:00pm, Yorkdale Mall, north parking lot in front of Hudson Bay. Leave at 10 pm for a spin Downtown .. route to be determined.
** In the event that the Thursday evening is a write off in terms of weather, then we will meet on the Friday evening same place and time as above. In terms of the planned road blockades around the Air Canada and Rogers Center on game days, we"ll come up with some alternative routes so don't let that get in the way.
Remember, the whole idea is to have some fun !!!

** In the event that the Thursday evening is a write off in terms of weather, then we will meet on the Friday evening same place and time as above. We will make the decision to slide the day first thing Thursday morning and yes sometimes the weather folks are completely wrong but we will try to mange this the best we can. If in doubt, check this thread before you head out.
Let's give these minor changes a chance, if things don't quite work out we can always adjust things as we see fit. In terms of the planned road blockades around the Air Canada and Rogers Center on game days, we"ll come up with some alternative routes so don't let that get in the way.

Thanks Bruce for steppin' in and up on the HDRs. I like the changes!
9:30 dep is better as I'm an early riser and many of us need to get back Thurs nights at a time that still allows to be productive Friday mornings.
Having flexibility to mix up the route is also a good plan. Yes, let's all try to get out and have some (make some) fun.

Stan, thanks for all that you have done. I think it was 4 yrs ago that I came across the HDR leaving Yorkdale by happenstance. You were/have been very kind/generous with all of us and you will be missed BIG TIME. Here's hoping for some Stan sightings on Thursday nights - won't be the same without you my friend! Enjoy the time for yourself and see you soon.

For April 5 / 6 I don't think we would get many people out so lets see what next week brings in terms of weather temperatures.
Please post up if you disagree though ... plans are always meant to be changed.

Hi Everyone, I think we need to idiotize this as far as the "Is it On .. Is it Off" commotion.
Most of us will agree the best approach is the Game Time Decision, as the weather experts are as useful as a screen door on a submarine. Lets deem the Season started as of tonite April 12 and see what happens.
Going forward .. including tonite .. lookout the window around 7 pm or so, if it looks like dry roads for a 3 or 4 hour stretch GIDDY UP stealing the phrase from our good friend Corrado. If its a total disaster weather wise, then the Friday option is another possibility although lets rule out tomorrow since the temperatures and forecast is messy.
May see some of you tonite if Mother Nature co operates.
