Default Tire wear

OK, I know few of you are interested in tire wear but I have to ask. I have 41,000 miles on my 2014 and still have 1/8" of tread above the wear indicators with even wear on the rear tires. Obviously no racing done but I do not baby this car either. Anyone near this life?

I only have 33k on my back tires and they still look great. Fronts cracked at 21k but were worn on the inside additional 2/32 might have lasted for 30k otherwise. My Z06 has the same tread wear number I hope it also does as well, but it has a different spec number.

I haven't heard of anyone with anywhere near that mileage either here on the Forum or in my Corvette club. Are you rotating them on a regular basis? What's your secret?

My fronts have 55,000, and my rears have 45,000. All four are above the wear bars.

I don't do burnouts, but I don't baby it either.

This set has never been rotated, but I get frequent alignment checks and have everything set to zero. It handles just fine for spirited street driving, and it has absolutely even tire wear.

Wow, 55,000 on fronts. Are you sure that someone didn't put new tires on your front without you knowing it? No one will beat that.

Can't rotate due to size differential. Have always kept alignment proper.

Not true.

You can rotate them side to side; in fact, the OM recommends it be done every 7500 miles. Forum members who have done this report mixed results as far as handing goes.

I have no idea how anyone is getting over 25,000 miles on the stock tires. I drive relatively aggressively, but here in Michigan all our roads are straight, and mostly flat. So I'm not sure how mine are at 4/32nds at 18,000 miles (on the outside tread, inside is 3/32nds). These tires will not make it to 20,000 unless I wear them fully down to 2/32nds (which I plan to by only driving the car in the dry from now on).

I never rotated the tires from side to side, but since all tires are worn practically the same, I don't think it would have mattered (the numbers above including inner to outer tread apply to all four tires).

Anyone getting over 30,000 must not be getting the tires hot at all and must slowly accelerate and slowly brake,

15K miles now and I need front tires but the rears have decent tread left, go figure, probably need an alignment....

This is weird but I got 49,200 miles out of my original set of tires on my 1lt Stingray. The rears still looked good and the fronts would of easily passed inspection. The Discount Tire guy was kind of surprised that I was replacing the rears. I rotated the tires several times but did not like the feel when I did. Mostly highway miles but I also had my fair share of fun spinning the rears. Never had the alignment checked/adjusted, came from the factory that way.

I've never gotten over 15k on a set EVER!

Zero wheel-spin either.

So this seems impossible to me.
