Just finished C7 magnetic ride calibration
I've been checking with dealers (So Cal, South Bay/OC) and no service advisors knew about this. One right by my house (Win Chevrolet) said they heard about it, had not done it and would charge $650. I found Chris at George Chevrolet (ext 556). He also hadn't performed it but was aware. He called Chevy, had it done in an afternoon and for the $350 MSRP! I will let the car settle for the day see if I notice a difference.

Don’t have to search. I’ve seen these threads all over the boards. I’ve lost interest. I just thought it was odd that one of the Spring Mountain employees stated it was for track mode only because of what I’ve read on here.

Calibration finished yesterday and I let it sit for the night. Drove the car today on street and freeway (Southern California) and I feel a change. I drove in Touring Mode first (My mode 80% of the time) and my first thought was that the bumps in the road weren't as harsh and jarring as before. There was less suspension stiffness than before and I felt a very slight floatiness (at times) on freeway but definitely nothing overboard. When I dialed to Sport Mode, suspension stiffened up and the car was ready for aggressive driving.
Before, It used to feel harsh ALL the time (even in Touring) and it was wearing on me a little. Now there is a bigger difference in ride quality (from Touring to Sport) and for $350, I'm happy with the results.

FWIW, I had it done last week at my local Chevy dealer (which is the 11th biggest seller of Vettes). Service advisor said the tech sheet required the car to sit overnight at the dealership. OK with me. Total cost - $350. Definitely made a difference, car is way less harsh in tour, and a tad bit less harsh in sport. I would say it's an improvement for sure. Worth the $$.
2017 GS M7 btw.

LOL wtf is settling? It's an electronic update. You're changing a tune. What is "settling?"

A big part of this upgrade is some new temperature compensation tables. The shocks respond differently when they're hot. So they need to be allowed to fully cool down so the module can set some temperature reference points for those tables.
