Other options to deal with brake dust in ZO6
I'm about to order my ZO6 in a few weeks and had a question about brakes. I've heard the stock brakes are a nightmare when it comes to brake dust. I don't want to pay $7,500 for BREMBOŽ CARBON-CERAMIC ANTILOCK BRAKES. What are my other options for taking care of the brake dust issue? Thanks in advance.

A lot of guys here like the Power stop pads. $130 or so for all 4 wheels. Stop as well as the stock pads with no dust. Have them on two C7's I was just doing 150mph test runs last night. They work great!

I installed the 1521’s on my previous C6 Z06 after trying the powerstops first and installed them on my new C7 Z06 before it had 500 miles on it.

I bought the carbotech and thought there was less brake dust than stock but still had dust. Also noticed brake fade on spirited street driving. I switched to the powerstops and have almost no dust and have not had any brake fade. Also no brown rotors so far, but only 200 miles or so on them.

Before powerstop pads I was cleaning just the wheels almost every time I drove the car and I mean the shortest drives there would still be a hazing of brake dust after..it sucked. Now? I've put about 2500 miles on the powerstop pads and I might have cleaned them twice insane.
there is a noticeable Brown tinge in the slots in the face if the rotors but if that's the trade off? I'm fine with it. I'll try to post pic up when I get home.
OP. The CCB are awesome but once our of warranty scare me a bit because of replacement costs. They should last life of the car if not run hard but even the pads are a lot. Im sure they work amazing but the standard brakes are ridiculous as it is. They look incredible though.

Stock brakes and a California wheel duster work for me. Good coat of polish on the wheels and it takes all of 1 minute to dust them off after I drive.

The dust goes everywhere plus the wheels I clean everywhere and brake dust would be under the doors and even on the doors and quarter panel and covers the brake calipers and wheel where your cleaning doesn't go. Powerstop all the way stock pads are horrible dusters with no advantage. The 130 for the powerstop pads is well worth it!

I put Powerstops on my ZL-1. Heavier car. No problem. About 10% loss just like every other ceramic I have had. I imagine a Z06 would be ok for anything but track.
