Default Great Vert Cover

With the weather warming up I've driving top down. I don't like to keep putting it up and down all the time so I leave it down. With all the insane amounts of pollen in the air I've been keeping a sheet on it but the pollen actually shifts thru the sheet. I found this on Amazon and it's really great so I wanted to share it with you guy's. It's really simple to take off and on and keeps the interior much cooler, as well.

Looks good!
The Amazon listing says the front gets tucked under the wipers, but what holds the sides and rear in place?

Each side goes over a mirror and each rear corner goes over trunk lip and hooks over the thing that sets trunk lid height ( not sure what you call it).

Been thinking about getting something like that, but opinions seems to vary on if it's a good idea to leave your top down for too long when it's not being driven.....??

What would be wrong with this? Could it freeze in place?

Yes, the mirrors and trunk hold it securely. I've learned to use it with windows up.

Been using one for years. Made out of C2 convertible top material. Works really well against overheat in the sun. You can figure a 40 plus drop on interior temp versus no cover on the vehicle. And you can grab the steering wheel without leaving your flesh on it at first touch after sitting in the direct sun.

I've left my grey-beige top down more than up over the course of thirteen years, and it looked brand new up until 200,000 miles. It now has minor dark marks in the creases. Most of you won't ever get any where that, let alone more, so I think you all will be fine.

Forgot to mention that I use mine with the top up, not down. For inclement weather and for heat protection when parked outside in hot climates like Arizona when traveling.

Some opinions seem to suggest that leaving the top down for long periods of time will cause/leave creases in the material that may, or may not come out. I don't leave mine down for more than several days at a time for that reason. Not sure how valid it is, but I do know that when I raise it after being down for a while there are creases. But they go away after a while. I would assume maybe they would go away quicker after the top got rained on, or wet. You have to remember that in this forum, or any forum for that matter that there will always be someone that will dispute any and all opinions regardless of their validity or non-validity.......

On....60 seconds or less
Off.....quicker than that

Stuff it in the left rear compartment.

Agree on the summer time cooler interior temp on the hottest day.

Thank you, RJ. During the summer, I like to have the top off, but I get tired of removing and installing each day (my car sits outside, and I don't like it to be wide open overnight). I live in a very secure area, with brightly lighted parking in my driveway. I think this will help prevent temptation, keep the interior cleaner while the top is off, and prevent me having to constantly remove and install the targa top.

Thanks for the tip. I don't want to over use the up/down motor on the vert but need to keep dust out of the car with top down sitting in the garage. Good option.
