Find an installer that has done a C4 before because they are more complex than the average windshield.

I often wonder about this advice; how would a glass installer ever get the experience needed to be the one called because he has experience???

I agree with poster, just one of those things to ponder/

I would tend to use a local mom and pop type shop than one of the large chains. You have a much better chance of having someone who really knows what they are doing.

You could be right, but Safelite does come with a Life time warranty, it is a well known company, so if "he" does get it wrong he now has experience for the second time around.

They are the same shape and interchangeable....But the shaded area and blacked out outline around the out side is different on the later C4's.

Thanks FASTAZU.
I thought it might be difficult to find an'85 so I gave them the range, but they said it's no problem the replacement will look exactly like the OEM.

I called my local Chevrolet dealer and asked who they recommended, they told me who they send all their Corvette windshield replacement work to, and I had them do it.
