Default 2018 out of Winter storage-no weather radar

I purchased a 2018 in August and drove it until Nov.
I just got it out today (Ohio weather has been terrible) and when I went to check weather radar it said something had to be done to reactivate it. I didn't know that it was something that you had to pay for. Dealer never said it was like that.
Can anyone shed a little light on this?
Thanks

I think maybe it did say that, but nothing about a freebie period?

Call Sirius-XM and they can hook you up. They'll need your Radio ID or your VIN.

Pro tip: Haggle with them, the pricing is sometimes "flexible".

If you don't want the radio portion, you can purchase just the weather and traffic for very little cost.

That's what I did on my truck. I have no need for XM, but I do like the weather link. I can't remember the exact cost, but it's in the neighborhood of 35 bucks a year. You just have to explain to the XM rep that all you want is the weather link.
