Default Insurance Question

I'll have to call my carrier tomorrow, but for now:
Do you think they will cover replacing a windshield? It's difficult for me to understand the "legal" language of the policy. It states:"other than collision---- $59.00 (0 ded)". It's from Hagerty
EDIT: there's about a foot long crack in it, I have no idea how/when it happened

Yes, I think they will. Be very careful with who you get to change your windshield.

My Insurance company uses Safe-light and the person they sent did not have a clue what he was doing. Started bending up the black molding and when I said something, He said you will just have to get new. The total bill was over $800.00 including the A-pillar rubber seal.

That was not a good experience at all with them.

Of course. Read your policy. The $59 is what you are paying for comp, $0 deductible

Thanks guys, I'll sleep better tonight and call Hagerty tomorrow. Perhaps they might even recommend someone in the area. If they pay it I don't care where I take it, I would guess this isn't the first windshield they had replaced.

In some states it’s required by insurance coverage, with no deductible.

Before you have anyone replace it, call them and ask if they have worked on C4's. I had safelite do mine, but I spoke with the manager who had done several, and he was the guy who replaced it. No issues.

Safelite did mine 2 or 3 yrs ago. They replaced the A pillar molding. I visited the office and got an estimate and sent that to Hagerty. Had a check in 5 days

Called Hagerty this morning. All posts were correct, fully covered no Deductible They also gave several recommended shops in the area familiar with Corvettes. So hopefully there is a happy ending to this thread
Thanks All, Frank

Got an estimate from the shop Hagerty recommended, they sent it to Hagerty and I will receive a check in 3-5 days. Interesting situation,,,, Safelite quoted $420.00 this shop estimated $915.00. Makes no difference to me, as every one has said $0.00 ded. This shop specializes in body repair and full restoration so I'm sure I'll get quality work.
They had a '66 Black GTO frame up restoration, I asked if he would trade even up he laughed and said maybe 2 or 3 of mine he'd consider.

Safe lite did mine as well last year. Important thing to note, aftermarket top moldings are very limited and do not fit correctly. They are an inch too short. Luckily the tech that did mine removed my original without bending it and reused it.
