How much can I sell a 1989 Chevy Corvette with 41,500 miles on it? It’s only driven locally, maybe 500 miles a year. Just spent $4,000 to get it fixed and ready to sell.

Check eBay for "Sold" prices maybe? Ask your bank what they will finance?

Most banks will not finance a vehicle that old. It would most likely have to be a personal loan so I don't believe that will help him. Do check eBay, craigslist and see what similar vehicles are being offered for. But remember asking price isn't what its eventually sold for.

You check sold values and see what others have gotten for a car in that condition.
Ask your bank since I can see KBB goes back to 92 and the bank might have books going before that as to what they think it is worth so they can lend you a percentage.
What exactly is your question?

You have low mileage, and assuming it's been kept in good condition, closer to the $10k.
If you are orig owner, and car is 6spd, and in perfect condition, and desirable color combo. maybe a little over $10k now that spring is here.

I've seen '89's go for $2K (basket cases) or $10k.

White Sold for $4601. Sold but buyer probably backed out so final price is $4600. Red sold for $6000 after all the bidding. The last one has 26000 miles on the clock and is a black convertible auto trans and sold for $9600. I'd start the bidding at $3000 just to draw someone in and hope they got the Corvette Fever and keep bidding it up.
OTOH, you can ask $10000 for it and keep waiting and hoping that it appeals enough to someone. More patience, more money.
Full disclaimer. I'm NOT interested in a C4 so I wouldn't try talk you down but what are you wanting to get out of it as a minimum? What exactly have you done for $4000? If you did an excellent paint job, that is something but if you did only tune up, shocks, etc, not so sure.

serpentine belt, the head gasket kit, bolt set, water pump, high pressure power steering hose, power steering return line, exhaust pipe Y, platinum spark plugs, thermostat and gasket, A/C kit and lower radiator hose. Did this to sell it! Or maybe I’ll end up keeping it, but I do want to sell it to someone that will at least drive it.

Ugh! Well, I was offered $7500 six months ago, but I didn’t want to sell it then. And she’s probably mad at me for not selling it to her. This was before I had the maintenance done on it. It’s a nice car. Still has a few things it can use. Not sure what I would give it up for. Just need a good down payment for another car.

If I were you, I'd give her a call and see if she has moved on or whether she will still offer you that assuming you are willing to swallow that 4000 loss.

Assuming she was buying with her head and NOT her heart I would say that you are probably not getting back what you spent to get it running. You looked at what ebay has. Do you think it is that quality to command 10000?

At some point, it's not worth selling. You say you need the money for a larger car, just spend less o that larger car! If you'e only going to get 4k or 5k for it, I'd keep it and just spend less on the other car.
