I add as much E 10 89 octane as the engine uses. advertised 11-1 compression. I'm sure mine is a little less than that. Stock factory timing curve.
I've read here on this forum that if you burn aeroplane gasoline or racing gasoline, it'll feel like you added a supercharger but my car doesn't need any more power to chirp the tires. Might break something if I tried and then I'd have to fix it.
I never bothered to install hard valve seats in my old heads either. They've go lot's of miles on them and the cast seats are still in good shape.

There is only one additive that actually is the same substance that used to be in leaded gas. It is tetraethyl lead. All the other stuff is bs and a waste of $. Not sure if its available anymore but even at that I stopped using it in my 66 about 20 years ago and the engine is strong as ever.
Only thing I add is some stabil in the winter because the car sits for a few months.

Nothing. And I don't have hardened seats either. No problems since I bought the car 18 years ago and driven over 30k miles.

) if you search a bit. But most of our cars can run pump unleaded unless highly modified.But they do run a bit stronger with a razor tune and some 100 octane leaded in the tank.

The real lead additive does help if you have a fuel percolation problem, my Fathers 68 big block (holley carb) Camaro was suffering fuel percolation until he added Octane Supreme 130. Also it does give the feeling of having a little more get up and go.

My SB is tweeked above factory specs and I run 89 all the time with zero issues.

I have heard you preach this many times . I can send you notes from my mechanic on how long my motors last but i am sure you dont want to see them . Costs me $40 a year for mystery oil in the gas . A little extra lube is never a bad idea . I ll send you money when you send receipts for your motor repairs.
