Testing Done-It's Safe To Leave The Range Plugged In
After a long term (4 weeks) storage test leaving the range plugged in and continually monitoring the battery for battery drain I found none at all.

Same here
2017 Grandsport left without battery tender hooked up and range plugged in,,no starting issues or cel...The wait was worth it,,for version 8.6..

What is "using OnStar"? I've never pushed the button but I get monthly updates via email.

I would like to get a Range but if there is any chance it could void my warranty I will not get one.

Not any different if you were using the paddles. V8/4 is just about GM meeting federal regs.
