Extended Warranty
I've been looking at and getting a couple quotes for a GMEPP. I contacted Dennis Fitchner & Smith Chevrolet, both their quotes were the same at $1055 for 60/40000 & $0 deductible. I got another quote from Rich of Abel Chevrolet and that one came in at $875. Then why do I just get an E-mail from Chevrolet Protection Headquarters <info@myvehicle-email.com> that I never contacted with a quote of $3783.85 for 48/48000. Aren't all GM backed extended warranty's the same?

It's interesting to see how much cheaper Abel Chevrolet was.

The unsolicited email from Chevy was the full, no discount price. See how much mark-up there is on these things?

Because, like when you bought your Corvette, you are NOT buying it from GM, but from the dealer.
Similarly, each selling dealer gets to set their own price for the warranty, just like the cars they sell. Some will sell at close to wholesale, some will sell at full MSRP, some will sell at HIGHER than retail.
I'm guessing the quote you received from CPH was unverified -- possibly they didn't have your current mileage, or other data that would affect the price. Also, given it was from the home office of CPH, I would *assume* the price quoted was full retail. Not too often will the supplier undercut MSRP directly to a customer, as that would anger their agents (dealers).

). But, I left North Carolina in my C6, had a problem in Albuquerque. It was fixed with no problem using the GM extended warranty.

Yes sir, it is honored nationwide. Able will place the warranty in the GM system, and you just tell whatever dealer you're at that you have an extended warranty. EZPZ
