Default Proud Of My Brother...Again

My brother entered his 65 in a Car Show this past weekend in Hot Springs Arkansas. It was sponsored by Central Arkansas Corvette Club. There were close to 250 Corvettes entered.

Ken Lingenfelter of Lingenfelter Performance Engineering and Mike Yager owner of Mid-America Motorworks, "Funfest Event" were there for 2 days.

My brother was fortunate enough to win "Best Resto-Mod" "Best Paint" "Best Engine" And "Best Of Show"

Ken Lingenfelter himself picked "Best Engine" we felt that was a Huge Honor.

Your brother is going to need to put an addition on at his house for all the hardware he brings home! I love the Paul Atkins dash!

Couple more questions.....

1. where are the switches for the windows?

2. What color red is that? What paint manufacturer?

3. The doors have a screen in them, is there anything behind the screens? Speakers?

I have been looking at the photos....he ditched the wipers and motor as well as the vent window handle. I get the vent handle delete, but not sure about the wipers and motor. Do the headlights work, rotate or is that also a delete?

Good eye that is a Paul Atkins dash. I wasn't that crazy about it at first, now I love it also. The bumpers are Paul Atkins also. They are fiberglass Close Fit bumpers, they snug right up to the body. He sent them off and got them Chrome Plated.

1. In the sixth picture down the dark circle is the radio, the silver panel below it has three switches the center switch is for the headlight rotation the two outer switches are the window switches.

2. The color is Torch Red, Glasurit

3. Yes the speakers are behind the screen on the door.

Thanks for All the Compliments.

RainX I doubt this Corvette is going to see a lot of foul weather. From my own experience with Street Rods and '50s and '60s cars RainX clears the windows better than the wipers if you're unfortunate enough to get caught in bad weather.

This was only the second show he's entered since he finished the car. He intends to show it for a year then start driving it some.

Very nice car indeed. But I do have a Question, how do you chrome plate Fiberglass bumpers? They do look awesome and I would guess easier to get that tucked in appearance as well. Grind to fit I'm guessing.

Did Pauls Chrome do the fiberglass bumper chrome? I have used Pauls on my ‘60 Vette and I had a problem like 6 years after the chrome job and developed a quarter size blister on my front bumper. Sent it to Pauls to get it repaired and they fixed it no charge and sent it back on their nickel! They have all of my business going forward! Great customer service!

he needs to enter it in ISCA shows...they start in late fall and run through the winter....there is money to be won at those shows....forget the trophies, get the money! He should enter and pursue a number of shows so he could get points at each one, get enough and become a national champion!
