Default Sad day for my ride...

My 7000 mile beauty is going away... The new owner has asked that I revert as much as I can back to stock. The list is long, but the process was completed this morning when I had the Corsa Pace exhaust removed. I was lucky and bought my car with the exhaust already installed, so it saved one more "What exhaust should I buy thread".

So when I turned that key I had no idea what to expect. When I finally started it, I realized, it's no longer my car.

Having been to Bloomington Gold several times, I always spend a little time in the exhaust tents watching BBE, Borla and Corsa systems being installed. Nothing like seeing a grown mans face light up like a five year old on Christmas the first time they hear their new exhaust! Now I know why.

Your C5 beauty is just another enjoyment like any girlfriend. When you are done with them, say goodbye and go on to the next one. Is there a next one?

I get ripped all the time, I'm a road warrior for my day job so I'm almost never home during the week. Then, the car is a never seen rain type...

The new one will be a driver!!!!!

Congrats on selling your car, but I know how it can be a bittersweet day. Looking forward to seeing what you get next.

It seems a waste that a nice performance ride was made only to sit in a garage. When buying a C3 years ago my sale was contingent on the owner locating the original parts that came on the car. I took it upon myself to remover the aftermarket "improvements" and make the car proper. List included slotted aluminum wheels, aluminum manifold, Holley carb, headers, a bad stereo and JC Whitney fog lights. Hopefully the new owner uses and enjoys your car as much as I did my unmolested C3.

Congrats on the sale. As others have said, I'm sure it's bittersweet for sure... but it sounds like the next "step" on the journey will be a real fun one!

I will have had the Corvette 5 years this week. My last two cars 71 Buick GS & 78 Trans Am I had for 16 years each.

When we bought the Corvette I about damn peed my pants as I never thought I would ever own one.

Having gone through prostate cancer this winter, everything is FINE now, makes you really realize there are no guarantees.

I'm excited to begin Chapter 2 of Corvette ownership.

Sad, but exciting time. I know you treasured that car, and hope the next owner treats it well. Looking forward to seeing what's next. Congrats buddy!
