What a great looking ride, did you use ceramic coating to get that shine?

I always wanted an old classic but decided to go with a new Z06. I know this is off topic but are you still connected to U of M? When we went I was concerned with the area surrounding the college, especially on the side driving in from the highway on rt1

As for the the Classic.. I don't know how old U are but if U are over 35.. go for it. Its a satisfying project. I am about to start on a 73 Riviera soon. The 66 was the last project my dad and I worked on together.. before he passed in Feb. I will probably keep it forever because of that. If U have a son.. it is another great thing for U two to bond over.

Its apart of of Balto/Washington. It, like many places has its great areas and shitty areas. U might see a bad area.. and literally across the street is a well to do one. Great friend of mine in Laurel, MD (not far from College Park) recently paid $800K for his house on less land than I have for my $550K house (.83 acre).. across the street from him were homes that I'd swear were $150K max, not to mention an Apt building. Its the way of the developers I guess. Rest assured.. MD has great things about it.. and my only reason for ever really wanting to leave is the weather. I'm just not a 3 Season kind of guy LOL (we get Winter.. then 3 wks of Spring.. then straight to Summer from May to Nov. LOL) Dallas/Ft W, Austin or even San Diego are my targets once kids are finished school.

Thanks for the advice, my son is only 12 but maybe when he gets older we will invest in something from the past. I am curious why you would pick Dallas to retire, its gets hot and stays hot for six months. San Diego on the other hand, great weather most of the time, just have to watch out for wild fires and bring your check book. Check out Coronado island, what a spot and you can watch the navy seals train.

And No No.. I wish I had a son.. Closest I have to a is my niece, who despite being girly and straight LOL.. is a car nut.. Unfortunately she is currently driving a Chally R/T as the Camaro just wasn't large enough for her. (My family is traditionally GM) My dad got us car crazy by the time we were 5 years old.. my brothers and I. He (your son) might love it.. spending time with old dad. But anyway.. I say grab something 60-70% done.. straight body.. with a lil need for drivetrain work or rebuild.. paint.. wheels... interior maybe. I'll never do another "in need of serious body work" restore. Did it a while ago on a 73 Caprice Classic and it was a pain. Sold it for a song tho.
Oh.. and thanks for the condolences. And same to U.. time means nothing when a love one is lost.
