Warranty Headliner replacement in Dallas Fort Worth
I just bought a 13 427 Vert with 2 months remaining on the CPO warranty. My headliner has the small holes worn through at the rear of the passenger side window covered under the much discussed TSB. I am hoping this will still be covered under the CPO warranty? Anyway my reason for this thread is to see if anyone has had their headliner replaced by a dealership in the Dallas/ Fort Worth area. If so, please share your experience good or bad. If you could recommend a good dealer to have this addressed it would be greatly appreciated. Not really looking to travel more than an hour or so. Thanks in advance!

I can’t speak to the headliner issue but the North Texas Corvette Club recommends James Wood Chevy in Denton who happens to be their supporting dealer. FYI
Jared in Chevy Service at 866-925-0453.

CPO is an extension of the bumper-to-bumper warranty. It's not a service contract like GMPP/GMEPP.

Thanks for all the great feedback! I am a huge fan of Jerry's Chevrolet in Weatherford, but just feel like this is a pretty specialized repair. I can't believe no one in DFW has had the same issue addressed under the TSB.

I will try to get some tonight. If you search "headliner" in the 2013 Corvette 427 Convertible Sticky thread, there are pics and discussion. Also if you Google search "tsb 08-08-110-001" the first hit is a word document posted to Corvette Forum that outlines the problem and repair, parts needed, etc. It is actually for the 2009 model year, but my understanding is GM just tacks on a different letter on the end of the TSB for each model year.

Here is a PDF of the TSB. Another forum member posted they believed the TSB for the 2013 model year is 08-08-110-001G, but I have not been able to confirm that.

Set an appointment with Classic Chevrolet in Grapevine. I think they sell the most Corvettes in the area, but the service adviser did not have any familiarity with the problem.
Still hoping to hear some more stories, good or bad. I am not looking forward to letting the dealer tear apart the top of my car. Just hope more bad than good doesn't come of this.

Thanks for the info. I'll cancel my appointment today. I've never understood why they sell so many either. IMO they are one of the highest priced dealers as well.

On a positive note, Jerry's Chevy in Weatherford, TX has once again been a pleasure to deal with. Dropped the car off this morning and my service advisor showed a genuine desire to remedy my issue (even as little as it may be). Got checked in and put in a loaner in less than 15 minutes. Even got to work on time. I have bought several of my cars from them and don't think I will ever go anywhere else for GM service. Have never have a bad experience here.

Here is a pic of the hole/abraded area on the passenger side. The driver side looks exactly the same, but the picture didn't come out well. Keep in mind this is on a car with only 6,300 miles. I have no idea how many duty cycles the roof has been put through as I have only owned the car a couple weeks, but I would imagine the problem will only get worse as time goes on.

It looks to me after enlarging the area of the hole, that putting the top up and down, or the mechanism didn't have anything to do with the damage.
What it does look like is some long thin object/rod with a very sharp point, got pushed in and dragged several inches causing a run in the fabric. This was done from inside the car, and not caused by the top. IMO
I just went out and looked at my Vert at the same spot, and the fabric sits behind the plastic molding nice and straight. In the area of the hole, it looks like it was slightly pulled out of place. I think the car new was delivered this way, and was done at the factory!
Good luck getting it replaced.

I looked at the PDF and it certainly looks like the problem, but you'd think that they would have corrected the problem on a 2013 car! My car is an 08, and has appox. 21K. Since I've had it, the top has been up/down quite a few times without the problem.
