Looking for some opinions on Z06 purchase
I am currently looking at buying a 2016 Laguna Blue Z06 3LZ. The car has 12,000 miles and is in immaculate condition. The dealer is asking $68,900. It currently has the chrome wheels. I told him id give him 66k for the car or I would pay $68,900 if he threw in a set of brand new black wheels. Is this a decent deal or should I continue my search elsewhere? Would like to here some of your guys opinions!
Thanks!

FYSA - you can get a set of OEM black rims shipped to your door for $1500 (for sale section of this forum from reputable vendors). If you are good with $66K, that is the better deal for you. Swap the tires and sell the chrome wheels.

Sometimes we keep looking for that elusive "perfect deal" & let the one in front of us get away. Don't get caught up in the save a couple grand & regret it slipping away. Over the course of 3-5 yrs (if financing) it's not a big deal-for some. Will you be happy with this car? That's what really matters not what we think.

Thats a good way to look at it Madrob2020. I think my biggest issue is I see all these other great deals for different color cars. I see a few 2017s and a lot of 2016s that have 1-5k miles for 69-70k. I really want a blue one though and this is the closest to perfect I have seen. I think I like JJLAI724's idea . Im going to offer 65k and see how it goes. Its really tough for me to justify laguna blue being 8-10k miles more than another car of similar value.

I look and see what other comparable vehicles costs are in my area. If I like it I make an offer, if i get a deal great, if they dont accept the offer and I still want it, I buy it. Time is money, waiting and looking sucks.

Time is definitely money! I love Laguna Blue. Thats what I really want. Finding one the way I would like though has been a nightmare. This one is close but it also has 10k miles more than a lot of the other similar equipped corvettes in different colors. The struggle is real.

I appreciate the few that replied to my thread! I ended up walking away from the car mentioned in the original post. By some divine act the right car fell into my lap shortly after posting on here. I ended up stealing a Laguna Blue 3LZ with 3400 miles and all the goodies. 150 miles closer to me just to sweeten the pot.

I'm pretty sure that when I bought my Z06, I did not get the absolute best price --- but I did get a fair price and the right car.
My thought is that if this car hits all your hot buttons, you should get it and not give another thought to saving a few thousand dollars so you can say you got the absolute best deal.
There are too many stories about the "one that got away".

I know for sure I could have saved some change and went to Kerbeck... Not my favorite dealship at all... I paid a little extra and went to Elkins, a family owned operation... But I was more confident and happy paying a little more for the ease of the transaction and how well they made me feel. To some paying a little more is worth it!

No there are far worse people... and you will be happy... But they are a high volume kinda place... When i walk into elkins... Everyone knows who i am... Just the different feel... Kinda like buying from a online retailer.... compared to a mom and pop shop... I tried to order a zr1 from kerbeck and they never called me back.. O well.

Thanks for the feedback. I tried to use my local dealer and they were 10K higher, just too much to pass on w Kerbeck.

In 2002 I wanted black z06 for 52k new and could only get blue which now I love the combo even more thank you Mike furman
When getting my gxp I beat the salesman to def until I could steal it
When getting my 427 I let them sit in dealerships for years til getting 30k off sticker
When getting my Ss I just paid whatever furman could get it for and he’s really cool great pricing guy
Just got my m6 gran coupe and paid boat load of money no haggling all espenses in most expensive car (and mortgage ever
Now my new black z06 finally on the way after 17 years shopping for it

Buy it and buy your own black wheels, sell the chrome one on here because the vast majority here seem to love chrome.

I assume the car is not a ZO6/07. I recently got my car appraised. I have a Laguna Blue 2016 Z06/07 M7 with 3LZ. I also have carbon fiber hood insert, carbon fiber removable top and carbon fiber on the inside. The seats are the competition ones. My car has 24,000 miles. If I sold it my self I should get about $76,000. If my mileage was below 10,000 I could get about $3000 or $4000 more.
My attorney is filing a Lemon Law claim this coming week. The 1st engine had to be rebuilt and 16,000 miles later it had to be replaced.
The car never overheats but it does lose power when it's above 65 degrees
The car pulls timing very aggressively. I installed the 100 Octane calibration. I use 100 Octane fuel and it still pulls timing but not as often as it did before. If the outside temp is in the 40s the car pulls like a bear. It is really a remarkable difference in HP and Torque They probably should have offered a meth kit with the O7 version. After all of that, I still like the car.

When I bought my ZO6/O7 the large dealer in Southern California wanted a $25,000 adder if I wanted to order the car from the factory. A few weeks later he dropped the adder to $15,000. We also have a home & business in southeast Missouri. I went to the dealer in our small town & he ordered the car and gave me a $2500 discount. I was only the 3rd ZO6 they sold in two yrs.
