Racetronix fuel pump Bulkhead harness-question
Where does that ground wire sticking out go to? Yes, I called them, and those *** holes don't know. Why am I replacing it? Because my bulkhead pins had small burning signs.
Here is the factory bulkhead I removed. As you can see, there is no ground wire sticking out on this cable.
If no one knows, I'll just go to the dealer and buy a whole new fuel tree setup. It comes with everything minus the pump.

They don't send you any instructions. But never mind!! Do you see the metal locking tab, 2nd pic, above letter M on the keyboard? Well, that tab doesn't fit in the harness' they sent me. Oh well, gonna go spend the money on a new fuel sending unit tomorrow.
I'll be returning everything I bought from them, minus the fuel pump

It sounds like a current hog and you don't need the extra capacity, anyway.
Good Move!!!!
I will remember the name "Racetronics" because of your experience.

PS: Mine was pretty ratty, and I replaced it with this:
Sold out on Amazon right now, but the manufacturer was "Vans" and it is stainless.. It's nice. I've had it for about a year and it works perfectly. Maybe they're available somewhere else?
Looks good in there too. Installed with stock replacement pump.
Good Luck!

The extra ground wire is a redundant ground. They don't tell you **** in the instructions, but it comes with two little screw-band clamps, and that ground wire slips over the end piece of one of them, then you screw the band clamp tight on one of the metal lines of the sending unit.

For the life of me, I can't find my damn fuel pressure gauge I'll go buy another. Oh yeah, the wires were definitely sent to me wrong. Polarity was wrong. Negative wires were on the positive side of the fuel pump. I couldn't find out how to switch them. So I just broke the tab on the connector and flipped the harness, so that negative and positive will match. The above picture is showing the wires are wrong.
I'm sure it's not making pressure. Because when I push on the schrader valve, almost no fuel comes out.

You are doing a lot of work for "hi perf" fuel pump with "hi perf" that you really are not going to notice as a everyday driver.
I suggest going back to stock and be done with it. Time to drive your car.

Hi all. Mine would do a similar thing when the inside the tank part was clocked wrong with the outside the pump part. It would prime but not start. Double check and triple check that the letter lined up. I spoke to racetronix which told me to check those letters and sure enough, I was off.
Did you test wiring continuity from the end to the other end of the harness?
I believe ground is redundant and I have it hooked to one of the bolts that hold the sending unit to the tank.
also, does your sending unit show the correct fuel level? Mine was not working since my setup was clocked wrong.

I made this
With this

and a Spectre fuel pump from pep boys. Not the thickest of metals but took me 20 minutes to install.

Which pump did you get an RX pump or a Walbro? I know they force you to flip polarity on the RX pumps.
