Default C5 Oil Life Display Question

I just had my oil changed for the first time on my 2001. How do see the "oil life remaining" display to see if the mechanic knew how to reset it to 100%? Thanks for the help.

From the DIC panel, press the "3 - Trip" button. Keep pressing the button until "Oil Life Remaining" is displayed. If it reads "100%", it was reset by your mechanic. If it reads otherwise, you can reset it yourself by pressing the "Reset" button on the DIC panel by pressing the Reset button and holding it in until the display reads "100%".

Actually i'm familiar with the trip button on the DIC but I'm not sure what the "3-Trip button" means.

Congrats on the new acquisition. If you have a chance, introduce yourself on the Intros page, and post some pix. We love to see pictures. Of the car.

"3 - Trip" is what it is labeled on the console. It is on my 99' anyway.

Just as a reminder - all of this information is contained in the owner's manual. If one did not come with your car when you purchased it, you may want o buy a copy or I can send you a PDF file with the manual for the '01 C5. Just PM me your e-mail address if you want the PDF file.

Mine never goes to 100% when I reset it, it goes to 99%. It's cheating me out of 75 miles.

Interesting - I reset mine by turning on the key and stepping on the gas - I'm pretty sure 3 times...
