Any regrets with sideskirts?

Any regrets with sideskirts?
I have a 2015 Z51 and I am considering adding sideskirts, but not a front splitter. I know which kind I would purchase, but don’t want to regret the purchase?
Does anyone regret adding them or do you think it improved the look of the car?

I didn't 'add' mine as I have a GS, however like both the look and extra protection they provide.
If you like the looks of them, and there should be no surprise with all them running around, I don't why you would have any regrets.

One thing you will hear is lots of sand/dirt/asphalt etc hitting up underneath your skirts that otherwise would be hitting your rockers.

I really like the looks of mine and the way they help prevent damage to the rockers.

Did you have a protective film over your rocker panels with the sideskirts? Reason I ask is I have it on there now and it’s yellowed. Wondering if it would need to be replaced or not needed with the sideskirts.

That's the first thing I noticed after installing side skirts on my car. At first I thought "They really need to come sweep the streets in my subdivision." Then I realized it was like that everywhere.
It's not so loud as to be annoying, but it it noticeable unless the stereo is on.

Do it, the car look much better with it IMO. Just installed mine not long ago & love it. No regrets what so ever.

Depends on why you need them. I don’t track my car and I also live in Southern California. As we don’t really have a winter here and they don’t treat the roads, the roads here are generally clean. Don’t have them on mine and never will as I prefer the lines of the car and skirts give it a square look that I am not a fan of but that’s JMHO.

I don't regret not installing them as I don't like the look, which is much cleaner without. XPEL Ultimate on the rockers and ACS splash guards up front take care of flying projectiles.

Melting Slicks
Stock 3/4s on my GS: I like the protection and look, but was worried about passengers stepping on them on exit. No issues with that, clearance issues, or anything else yet, so I'll give them a thumbs up.

It might be something you will have to compromise on in regards to noise versus rock chips in your area. I have XPEL down my rockers and while I have noticed a few little pin holes in the wrap, nothing to worry about as far as paint damage or chips. Driving straight is not the issue, its when you turn the wheel and the tire comes outside of the well and picks up road debris that may hit your back quarter. If I lived in an area with a lot of gravel/sand from winter road treatments I may have a different opinion. I did drive back to Wyoming in 2015 in July and while the main roads had not been too bad ( Cheyenne city roads is a whole different issue ), whenever I was stuck behind a tractor trailer and one of their tires went just into the emergency lane, I would get showered with rocks. Tried to avoid them as much as possible but my windshield still took a beating. You might try the XPEL and wider flap on the front and see what that does for you before you spend a lot of money on skirts.

I like them on my car quite a bit, and people regularly comment on the red pin stripe (which I can't really take credit for as the previous owner put it on, but I think it makes it "pop" nicely).
