My car saw the first rain storm(since me owning it) this weekend while parked outside. I noticed that some water was in the door sill as well door panel was a little wet. Here are some pictures of where the water sat.





Could this be the window not sealing correctly to the weatherstripping?

The weatherstripping looks to be like new condition.

It looks like my passenger side doesn't do this only the driver side. I'm going to look at the channels for the rain water. Everything else is good.

I have had the same a few years back. Just apply some dielectric grease to the seal around the window and work it in...Mine looked good but that did the job.

Hopefully you don't need the main A-pillar weatherstripping because it's a GM only part (no aftermarket) and wholesale for that one big strip alone is $580

I have a different water leak problem.
It doesn't do it all the time, which makes me wonder what it is.
Sometimes when I park the car like at the grocery store, I come out to find a thin stream of water running out from under the car, onto the pavement.

At first I thought it was condensation from running the air, but today it did it, and I didn't have the air on.
I first noticed this A few days ago.
It only happens on occasion, so I cant figure out what triggers it.
I checked the overflow tank, and it is at the correct level.
The water is clear with no sign of coolant in it, and is cold, so that rules out an engine leak.

One thing I have not checked, and will tomorrow, is the windshield washer tank.
Like I say, it isn't a constant leak,
Some days after driving it's there , and other times it isn't.
Any one have any ideas?

My car still has this issue of leaking. I had to install a blow clip in my passenger side of the car. This required me removing the molding and replacing the weatherstripping. I used doublesided tape to re-attach the moulding, and installed the new used weatherstripping dry in the channel. I still get leaking at this point in my car. I also noticed the last time I went through a car wash water somehow ended up under my dash. This came out when I was turning.

All my bladders are cleared out. It seems to be either window tip-in or weatherstripping?

maybe you had the defroster on? I think that also runs the AC.

Di-Electric grease on the weather stripping, and adjust the window tip in (access panel on bottom of door, gotta lay down to see it).

What is the proper way to adjust tip-in? Is this something I should have the dealer perform?

Experienced the same problem as post originator. Initially thought it was clogged udders and they were somewhat clogged up but that was not the issue. Checked all the rubber seals and they looked good. Then did a bit of searching on this forum and low and behold I learned something I never heard of: Window Tipping.
Once I found out about the window tipping and how to make the adjustments I got the hose and ran water along the top of each window, I was amazed how much water was getting in at various points. I adjusted the tip in as per others instructed on this forum and sure enough it worked. I did the adjustment a little at a time and after each adjustment gave it the water test. The reduction of water getting into the car was very obvious. I continued to make the adjustments a little at a time till no more water was getting in. A few days ago we had some heavy rains, car was on my driveway-as a precaution I lined the sills and floor with plastic and some towels. All stayed dry. Then I went out for an hours drive at highway speeds in heavy rain and all was dry.
Thanks to everyone who shared their experience and knowledge to help solve a problem that could have been an expensive lesson of chasing my tail and getting no where.

Im sorry buddy, I dont come here often (soold the car after ten great years with it)......
But no, the window tip in is something that is a no brainer.
Basically, theres an access plug under the bottom of the door.
Adjustment there increases/decreases the tension on the window bracket (and subsequently the force the window exerts on the weather stripping when you close the door).
Its just a simple trail and error thing you adjust......spray with hose......adjust......until you dont get a leak (as long as thats the problem........ totally shot weatherstripping isnt going to be able to be sealed no matter how much you adjust......but thats rarely the problem).

Mine is leaking from the window channel. It isn't sealed to the body properly. I will need to work on this when I have some time and patience.

You will need to remove the front plug under the door and the door reflector. first loosen the bolt under the door and then you can adjust the tip under the reflector. The one under the reflector has two parts to work, you will need a flashlight on it to see it. I had to do mine and didn't see the 2 parts the first time. I also had to remove my door panel to slightly move the glass forward as well. Not a drop comes in and no more air sounds. Also my udders where clogged as well, I didn't even know they existed until I read about them on the forum.

Yup, that water leak has noting to do with bladders and not likely to bad weather stripping.....
Try rehabing the weatherstrip with Di-electric grease and adjusting the window tip in (as stated above)......good luck....

Didnt add...... we also can adjust the Targa Top lock down pressure, but that is usually not the problem, there are posts in the stickies on all of this....
