Dealer oil change - they used Dexos II not Mobil 1

Unless you are planning to track the car it will be just fine.

No problem both excellent no difference.

Which oil did they use though? Dexos2 is a certification, not an oil. For instance, the new 0w40 ESP Mobil 1 has the Dexos2 certification. But there is no oil that is simply labeled Dexos2.

When I had my oil changed at the dealer it was cheaper with a Dexos2 oil than with Mobil 1

According to the information sent to all Chevy dealers they are required to use Mobil 1 for Corvettes.
That being said, the Dexos 2 rated oil will be fine.

For street use, don't go crazy over Mobil 1.
I use Valvoline Synpower in all my cars so I don't have to keep stocks of different brands...
Does the cap really say Mobil 1 "ONLY". Glad I don't have one on my car.

It's 100% synthetic. You and your car won't know any difference.

FWIW, Castrol Edge and Mobil1 are the only two brands on this list of 182 Dexos2 oils that are 0W-40.

Dexos2 is a full-synthetic and will be just fine; just make sure to specifically request Mobil 1 next time. My first oil change way back in 2014 was done with Dexos1 (semi-synthetic).

FWIW, dexos, (small d) is a GM specification like API (American Petroleum Institute.) Meet the GM spec and pay them a tribute and you get on their list! There is no dexos brand oil. (Manufacturers pay a small tribute to API and SAE per quart to say they meet their specs as well.)
There are two types of certs. Type 1 for gasoline engines (note Type 1 is now the 2nd generation the 1st generation was discontinued) and Type 2 for diesels. Well that was the case accept for the new 0W-40 being introduced for the 2019 Vettes and hard to get accept for dealers and only some of these have it! See pic below as it appears that "New" 0w-40 ESP is certified for dexos 2!
Have seen posts stating dealers only use dexos approved oil that is all "full synthetic." That is not what it says currently on the GM dexos approved brands website. Most are but for example: Pennzoil Gold Synthetic Blend, 5W-30 made by Shell is dexos 1 Gen 2! Look it up on website URL shown in pic, there are several 100 brands paying GM a tribute and some labeled as blends.
Dealers are independent businesses and if it meets the GM dexos spec they can use it! Especially what is in the 55 gallon drums in the oil change bay! Always chuckle when folks think putting on a cap that says Mobil 1 that some Mechanic's Helper's who work the oil change service bay care! Lets see, pull the trigger on this pump handle from the Oh-So-Peachy brand dexos approved blend drum the boss purchased and is good for 99+% of the vehicles I service or go to the parts department, sign out for 10 quarts of Mobil 1 and lug those back to my work station! Then get a funnel open each quart etc! Yep tough decision for some!
Can't quit make out the dexos 2 on the container BUT note the dexos 2 logo is blue and it's blue on the container! Suppose if the weight meets a diesel engine spec it could be used.

Dexos is a GM certification, not a brand. Any Dexos certified oil will satisfy GM requirements for the C7 Whether the owner uses a full or partial synthetic brand is his/her choice.
dexos® Licensing Program
GM Global Propulsion Systems engineers developed the dexos® engine oil specification to meet the increasing demands of today’s engines. Fuel economy improvements combined with the need for engine oil robustness is driving change at an increased pace. Fuel economy improvement can be met through a variety of ways, such as reduced friction, optimized viscometrics, and aeration control which enable the engine to operate more efficiently. The result is engine oil designed specifically for GM’s engines, with added performance in areas important to its operation. dexos® represents a high quality, robust oil formulated to some of the most rigorous specifications in the industry. And just like GM, dexos is global. GM wants to make sure that every GM vehicle anywhere in the world has access to the highest quality oil formulated specifically for GM engines.

Probably not an issue unless you want to meet warranty requirements!
A Chevy dealer will only use dexos certified oil, whatever brand full synthetic or blend. If you buy your own, as I do, and keep receipts, buying the European 0-40 that has been around for some time and is not dexos certified, would not be good to turn in if you have and engine issue!
Frankly until the "new" 0W-40 ESP oil is available in 5 liter jugs at Walmart for a price close to the other Mobil 1 dexos certified 5-30, I'll continue to use 5-30.

Yep it says that BUT the dealer can quote the Owner’s Manual that for my 2017 Grand Sport still says the recommended oil is AC dexos 1!
This issue has been raised since I got my September 2013 built C7, Z51! Frankly the car will be just fine even if the Mechanics Helper who may have worked the oil change bay took the easy way out and pulled the handle on the gun that pumped oil from the 55 gallon drums of Oh-So-Peachy brand dexos approved oil blend the service manager bought from the “low price” supplier!
Would not get my shorts in a knot over the issue. Can do what I do if it is concern. Buy 5 quart jugs at Walmart for which I just paid $2.20/quart after the Mobil rebate. Some have done that and brought to Jiffy Lub who charged only ~$15 to change oil.
Or do what I do every time I have service at a dealer (never oil as I have changed my own in all 5 Vettes I have owned) ask before you have something done. In the case of an oil change, if they have center post lifts, ask IF they use jack pads. Even if the dealer bought them, they are probably in the parts/tool department and have to be checked out. Like getting oil in quarts, a PIA! Mechanics buy their own tools and most will not invest in pads for the Vettes they service!
Then ask if the will use Mobil 1. Even when they say yes to both, go to the service bay where they will work on your car, stand outside by the open door and chat with the tech. Tell her/him you really care about your car and here will be a tip!
Just did that for my free alignment on my Grand Sport. Even though there was only one toe out of spec, in the red and the tech could have fixed it in 5 minutes and said, all fine! Instead he spent ~45 minutes and put each toe centerline and each camber where I asked, evry one required adjustment and it's iterative, change camber toe changes etc.! The GM spec on rear camber is from -0.5 to -1.7 degrees. Mine came from the factory at -1.6 degrees, OK for Tracking but not for the best tire wear. I requested and got -0.8, the compromise I picked.
